  1. Totally!
  2. Couldn't figure that one out - thanks Jester986.
  3. @dali:That looks like the nose from our F-18. As far as mysteries go, I was wondering what this was - from the Jan 10, 2020 newsletter:
  4. Yep, any modern(ized) variant of the Flanker or Fulcrum - or even the Frogfoot - would be eagerly awaited by myself (export versions if that makes access for ED easier). But I also believe it's going to be the F-15C made into a full fidelity DCS module, which would be nice to have - and probably could be done relatively quickly measured by how long a DCS module usually takes to develop. An Apache DCS module would be even more exciting, and eagerly awaited as well.
  5. The Viper is still in early access, so you answered your own question - it will come at a later date during development.
  6. I am with you on that. DCS needs more modern goodness.
  7. +1
  8. I believe I read a post from Chizh on the Russian side of the forum (thanks to Google translate) stating that ED corrected the height above sea level for the Caucasus map to improve the accuracy of JDAMs. I don't have the link handy, but somebody else might chime in and verify/clarify if this is somehow incorrect.
  11. As a long-time Ubuntu user, I totally agree. Funnily enough, today I made the switch to Pop!_OS (by System76) which - even though it's based on Ubuntu - has the edge over Ubuntu thanks to its more up-to-date hardware support. Pretty amazing how it works perfectly on my Dell XPS 15 out-of-the box. That said, I use Ubuntu (and now Pop!_OS) for work and everything that's important. Windows I only use for gaming as that's how far the trust in that OS goes. Which reminds me about my soap box I like to step on: Why in the world do government agencies (and their supporting contractors) still use Windows-based workstations and laptops these days when there's so much sensitive data on those machines? They then have to rely on other software vendors to make it somewhat secure. That's beyond me... Most folks do. That's why I am actually quite distraught as to why ED and some of their third party developers post news updates there... ugh.
  12. It does - thank you cofcorpse.
  13. Winds aloft totally affect aircraft's ETA toward their destination. Winds lower to the ground also affect aircraft, by creating compression at the RWY THD for landing for a flow of aircraft, affecting their safe separation as they land. Those things should be rightfully considered in DCS as well. So kudos for ED if this is what they're talking about.
  14. Super - danke. Da gibt es immer wieder tolle Häppchen zu finden.
  15. I would love to see some discussion involving Razbam without viper2097's negativity... I guess you can't have one without the other around here.
  16. Congratulations! I hope that Cpt.Smiley is the one who brings his magic to the BO-105. Cannot wait.
  17. Waiting for the commercial version of this one myself: https://bergisons.simpit.info/motion-integrated-g-seat Whenever it is available, I will jump on it.
  18. As dburne mentioned, prior calibration of your Gunfighter w/ MCG grip is required for the MaRS sensor to identify the correct range of motion of all axes.
  19. Ah, bummer. I had hoped you'd continue with some modern goodness for DCS. Either way, whatever you do next, I'll buy it anyway.
  20. Well said. Some of my sore spots as well with DCS.
  21. I believe it means: 006 miles > (to) WPT 001
  22. A very valid summary of the DCS forum in general these days. ;) And yes, Supercarrier is very reasonably priced by ED. I was prepared to happily pay a lot more.

    VR Pilot (wip)

@Timghetta - that's some brilliant work! Cannot wait to see this in-game!
