Havnt been watching this as I thought it was a long way off, awesome news that its possibly a 2017 purchase let alone a Q3 if it makes it! Im off to look through the thread at its capability :-)

Im not sure LeCuvier understands what is being offered/on offer from GVl224. LeCuvier, GVl224 make Douane pot box for you.

Australia reporting in, we dont have any Carriers and operated in Red Flags and OIF.

Nice work mate, really like it. Not trying to be clever but thoughts on a light on "tub" for the VR crowd? This looks pretty sturdy, ie, enough to hold a monitor and panels as it is. What about something about a third of the strength just for visuals and VR? Strong at the throttle and stick only? Im not asking you to answer, just a thought as I really like your style and want to see you make millions :-)

So that is a real F-16 panel and not a Thrustmaster one?

I hope this gets up more than the OA-X. Upgrade the engines, some form of conformal fuel tanks and the ability to operate higher. Is the A-10 a hangar queen?

Very xciting, my daughter asked me "why do you keep making those panels". -

Arduino Nano USB Controller

Ive not used Arduino before but read a bit, I understand you make a sketch...so what is this that I downloaded that "should" be a Joystick Controller! What do I do with it?! -
Arduino Nano USB Controller
Mr_Burns replied to Mr_Burns's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well there is a link here: http://www.playwithtransistors.com/index.php/78-microcontroller/130-arduino-nano-arcade That has a file called Nanojoystick.tar.gz Do you somehow put this onto the nano? -
Just watched this great little input device! I wonder if it works like MMJOY? I only ask because I bought a couple of Nano's to run DCS Bios but like the idea of MMJOY being just an input device for any application. I know the Arduinos required are not expensive but I have the Nanos to hand and want to mess around today!

One of theses?

Just used a jig saw, it's only printed paper glued to Perspex, I gave up on engraved panels, figured if the wear out will just print more and glue them over the top. Not sure on the vents, havnt looked at them yet, are you making a replica? They would be good here in summer with a hat for track ir and bid headphones it gets bloody hot in the pit!

Nice to see you back, I am thinking of going one projector, are you still rocking that?

Is this an AMD versus Intel thing or is Ryzen good? I havnt had an AMD system since i went Q6600 (I think - first dual core) and i7-2600k and I now have $2000+ for a new rig. I agree with a new Mobo for a new chip it seems Intel must be getting kickback from the mobo manufacturers, sucks, not so much for me as I tend to stick to a chip for about 5 years and upgrade GPU. Need to look at Ryzen now...you think competition is good but its also complicated :-) Also, i read the 8000 was out in September, a year after the chip its replacing at the top of the line.

Im not going full on here, plan on getting VR is a year or so, also, living in a rented house whilst ours is being built and no space to finish it. I started on the left side: Then the upper left panel: Then the Fuel panel - i need to do this one again and the grey needs to be black. And this is my DIY jettison switch, I am going to sand it. One point, the rotary does not match the location of the text but as I am only printing them on paper I can easily change it: Plastic circle, used the brass fitting from a rotary switch cap. The grey thing is off a garden hose connector I found lying around glued to the circle. Bit messy. Needs sanding: Glue a disk inside with a small pcb tactile glued in it: I cut a small groove to allow the wires to move, obviously this method wont work with a 360degree switch!

should be out early next month, by why another new MOBO, they must get kick backs....

Looking great. Be interested in your folding wings, is it a pull and twist switch like the parking brake, I have no idea if you can buy pull and twist type switches. I just made a jettison button for my F/A-18 pit which is a rotary with a tactile switch. Only problem was the positions of the rotary dont line up with the panel! I wouldnt ditch the Audi seat, car seats are designed to have your arse in them for hours, I look at those ACES2 with the thin cushions and wonder how long you would last. That said however, I have never heard anyone complain about them.

You need to go into the home cockpits thread at the top of this one and look at this great thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65998 -
Not sure if this is a bug so before I report it I will seek community input. I was messing around with a user created mission, the idea was to hide a static comms building somewhere in downtown Nevada and then use the A-10C AG pod to search for it. When I got into a circuit over the neighborhood and put the camera on it to search visually, all the houses and cars disappear leaving a few squares, the odd crane and my static building not hidden in a back garden where I placed it. Is this normal?

$200-ish HOTAS for Newbie?
Mr_Burns replied to Kocrachon's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am unashamed a big fan fan the base X-52. Not sure if you can still get in new but I still think it was the best setup I had (now rocking a warthog and pedals, i hate pedals). Twist grip for rudders (much more fun for a newbie due to the level of control). DOnt need twin throttles, I may be wrong but unless you are uber simulation I have never needed to close one throttle. The pinky on the stick means you can use every button twice, more than enough for A-10c. You dont need even the pro IMO. -
Thanks Hans, didn't realise Lynx sold them!

Hi, I was thinking of turning some Aluminum/Aluminium bar to make some caps I can slide over my Ebay toggles to make them look like locking toggles and the type. Alas I dont have a lathe, I could use my drill I suppose and knock up some clamp and then a dremel to shape it, but they would be ugly and probably better without them! Do any of the shapeways shop owners plan on making any of these, I notice there are a number of different switch types, including the ones with the 3 half spheres and some triangular ones as well as the locking toggle ones. They could be attached with glue or a grub screw but I doubt such a fine thread in resin would work. Any other solutions?

Forgot about Red Flag. Father Day SSD I think and Normandy, tally ho!
-
Would just like to say playing DCS 2 this week (A-10C) and having more fun than ever. Really like the visibility and performance, no labels and able to spot the convoys not simple but able. I think I will have to buy Normandy now and check out the visibility and performance on a non desert map, sorry not now, need another SSD first! Hopefully some mission editors will make some more SP A-10C missions. Look forward to 2 moving to beta and final. Suppose I should add it here, when is DCS 1 going to stop being upgraded and rolled into DCS 2, has a framework been released to move over? (not dates obv.)
