I might use 2 or get a Mega, after this small test I though about just wiring everything to a GGG and Nano but I am trying to get the F/A-18 HUD as thin as possible so I can use a monitor to give it its displays (as well as the MFD and engine Data)

That might be the problem, both column and row are connected to one side of the button, ground (the blue) to the other side. So Arduin doesn't need a ground to complete a circuit?

Obviously it doesn't work! Your schematic had a diode in order to press two buttons at once? I might have bitten off more than I can chew with DCS Bios and Matrixs!

Just building the UFC, wired the key matrix for the input, just need to do a few more. There is a link higher up, if you have a spare encoder and a small drill you can drill done the middle of the shaft and out of the bottom of the encoder? You are right though, nothing on line. Word of advice, check the rotary you are using matches the panel engravings, mine doesn't align to each of the jettison points.

I play 1920x1080 on single monitor (with MFDs on second screen) and enjoy my game, Im in no hurry to buy a 4k monitor, you dont miss what you havnt had right? But I really want to buy VR, have an old R9 200 paired with a 4.4ghx 2600K - seems I could possible run a Rift with a 1070Ti and the old 2600? What do you think, I keep building panels for a cockpit but recently one of the cockpit builders sold his rig as he got VR. I like the idea of a set up with Rift to play both racing and flight sims. This resolution stuff has me second guessing though, is it really an issue? Its not like an Amiga or Atari ST? Its just like turning your monitor resolution down?

Will 2.5 still be alpha then or will it move to beta? I need a new SSD before this release!

I can't stand my track5 but can't play without it, just doesn't feel natural at all, can't wait until I can get proper motion tracking, probs when I get VR. My advice would be to move the camera further back from the monitor, I put mine on the wall about 10cm further back and a bit higher, made it much better, you could make a very simple stand if you don't have a wall. Make sure you have selected the correct camera (if you are using LED or reflectors) I had to speed up the axis steeply at the end so I can gat a proper 180 view, I put the camera high so I can look up but then I can't look down! So moved it back down and sharpened up the z axis too. Trying to picture your setup, as you have the track clip on the right and the camera on the right, it will see more movement turning your head left I think, turning it right it will go out of range sooner, is it just 2 X led or 3?

Im rocking the old i7-2600k @4.2 but I have an older graphics card. Im going to do a full rebuild when the bitcoin and alternatives make me a billionaire!! I was of the opinion 4ghz is 4ghz regardless of the chip and when A-10A was released IIRC it was pre 2600k so you should be good. Also wasnt DCS 2.2 supposed to improve performance? Agree on the memory, 2600 MOBOs are early DDR3 i think, I dont know much about this but what are the latest ones? What about your DirectX version, is that latest and greatest, again I seem to recall that my 2600k and mobo probably wont support the next DirectX? One other point, why compare DCS Normandy to NTTR amnd A10 to the WW2 bird? NTTR (should) have better performance I would think being as though its just a yellow terrain, perhaps be better comparing like for like to get a proper basis? Finally do you have an SSD? Perhaps you can reduce the preload radius with an SSD (although I have no idea whether this would impact FPS). Ps. I run at 50 and below on my old rig and still love the sim, I wouldnt even know what 100fps feels like but hopefully next year when all the new stuff comes out including the next gen of PCIe.

It's hard to see the MFDs properly with that bulky UFC, I assume it's accurate but anyone without head tracking will struggle? Not an issue with the model (or an issue) but I wonder why they couldn't make it less protruding? (not Razbam - the designers). Do you think it's less Awkward in real life, I was going to stick with one screen until I get my new house in 8 months time but am seriously considering upcycling an old 15" screen from the garage to export them? Anyone else got any comments on it?

Im still getting it in Nevada 2.2

Im not sure if related but I set up 2 SAMs (Nevada 2.2) and get a lock tone on the side arm with a kill, but the tone doesnt stop so it lets you shoot another but it obviously self detonates. Single player.

Taking off from Carron 4 x aim-9 during take off switch master arm on boresite to get tone FPS drops to 1 or 2, slideshow for about 5 seconds Recovers and all is OK in flight (obviously I now just turn it on in the air and all is fine).

Sorry I havnt got one, was wondering if people using it could post some that match as much as possible the actual or at least user friendly. Ive set a few profiles but im finding my hotas Mic button isnt that useful as its difficult to press AFT on it so going to have to use pinky modifier. Is everyone just mapping the key strokes through DCS? :joystick:

Is there a way to reset the TGP or Mav seeker to your hud? I reset what ever it is locked back to the meatball.

Thats one of the best desktop setups ive seen, very tidy. Net curtains though mate, bit 80's.....

Q1: 41? Q2: That was going to be my next question, there are 3 connections, so is it a live 5v input, plus a button (A0-A7) and an output to gnd?

Thanks Tekkx, sorry I dont understand and please dont lose your patience with me! So I could use say D2-6 as vertical rows and D7 - 12 as horizontal columns. But where D2 meets D7 does it becomes another input?
