Hello Guys, I just got a reverb G2 coming from the rift s and i'm loving the experience, however I'm experiencing a very strange behavior let me describe. The headset is incredibly sharp and I can read everything both in the WMR and also on SteamVR, then when I enter DCS is also totally clear, I see everything perfect, or at least I think i'm seeing everything perfect, but, If once inside DCS i click on the windows icon of my controller, the WMR menu that pop up is very crossed eyed for me. This apparent misalignment last some seconds until my eyes are able to adjust to the new layer and I start seeing it ok. Is this normal? Is some sort of issue with WMR where the popout windows is not well aligned? I've try the OpenVR debug tool to make the game symmetric to my left and right eye (both options) and I haven't noticed a great improvement for this WMR window. What is your experience guys? By the way, in case it helps. In DCE everything looks clear except when i use the VR spy glass zoom where instant objects in fact looks crosseyed a bit. Is it the same for you guys? Thanks!

Thanks! It will be interesting to see if it will have some kind of jester or autopilot allowing to stay for example in a hover while employing weapons Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

So, question for those who may know. Can the AH64 be operated from the pilot position? Obviusly much better with a copilot but i'm interested to know

Early models of the 4th gen jets we already have.
falcon_120 replied to FlankerKiller's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I think we need to have our models finished before that could be even considered a thing. In any case they would be new modules that would need to be charged for. These early models aircraft would in many cases: have different systems, different symbology, reduced weapons, it might even have different engines which would change their flight model. As a lower fidelity workaround, you could define missions with specific weapons restrictions, remove GPS from the mission and play yourself without link 16 and JHMCS to feel closer to what it would be to operate those airframes, and play in a squadron that respect those rules... -
I think they meant cappability wise. It does not mean that you will have 4 nations skins on day 1. I would certainly love to fly with a Spanish skin even if its a German version of the fighter. At the end the differences are minimal (Pirate, some weapon types...)

[NO BUG]Cannot join as WSO (F14) when don't own Supercarrier DLC
falcon_120 replied to al531246's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, obviously there might be different opinions, in this case I understand ED position. At the end you do are enjoying the Supercarrier functionality and visuals if you are an WSO. Also you would be enjoying the comms and cat launch functionality to some extent, I could agree with you that is only partially but they cannot sell "only WSO SC licenses" either. And they are giving a free less detailed supercarrier option which is nice. -
For me there are 2 brainmelting aircrafts coming to DCS, one is the eurofighter, the other the F15e. Other than that i only would be superenthusiastic of something like a full fidelidy su30mki or similar... A superhornet would also be awesome, a gripen, a rafale, a tornado, phantom... Ok i'm easily sold [emoji14] Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

[INCLUDE TRACK FILES] Aim-120 in range, but always missing
falcon_120 replied to tun3's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I don't think the amraam was nerfed in any way kinematically since the major overhaul. Its still a weapon capable of 40/50 nm kills. One thing to consider in blue flag is that only 120b are allowed there. This missile is considerably less capable than his newer brother the aim120c both in range and in CM rejection cappabilities. When doing the mental math of the NEZ you should consider reducing by at least 20/25% your numbers, that is a good ballpark figure. Meaning that for example down low the 120C is in its NEZ at 6/7nm, however the B is only when at 4nm. So many good players will defeat it kinematically in that server if they understand and respect these numbers. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk -
[INCLUDE TRACK FILES] Aim-120 in range, but always missing
falcon_120 replied to tun3's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I have not seen any noticeable difference between amraams in different aircrafts. Same behavior from my PoV. A different thing altogether is the beast the amraam turns into when shot at M1.5 and more, something only F16 and F15 drivers will be able to take advantage of. -
I'm with you. Its true there are people more sensitive to low fps/ghosting than others, also there are FPS snobs around. I'd also loved 90 stable FPS but it is what it is. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

EWR radar and ship datalink hub option

+1 for the general concept, don't know if special units or comms equipment should be added to be more realistic Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk -
[NO BUG]GBU-31(V)1 and GBU-31(V)3 should no longer be available.
falcon_120 replied to BarTzi's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have a question, what is exactly the thermal coating? What is it use for? Never heard of that before. -
Actually its not clearly specified that is coming in today's update right? It might very well the next update after today...just wondering
-
Yeah, its gonna be awesome as a CAS/SEAD platform with this addition, the only drawback I have with the F18 and F16 is how little time they can loiter around a OA compared to the A10C. On the other hand their speed keeps you alive and let you escape enemy fighters so much better.

DCS: F/A-18C Features Roadmap for Early Access
falcon_120 replied to Kate Perederko's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Its not common practice but it should be totally possible. Spanish air force hornet flares the nose quite a lot to increase operational hours on the airframes. Its true though that they are always land based, and are f18A with indigenous FCS and other OFP changes developed by Spanish CLAEX (kind of a weapons research center). I would love to have some functionality, as simple as it might be possible and feasible to implement, to copy past active or recently dissapearing radio messages. Description of the feature in mind: When a radio message is displayed in a multiplayer session or single player session, normally with important information like coordinates to a target, pressing Ctrl+C or similar will copy to the clipboard the latest projected message Clicking Ctrl+V, or similar, will display that copied message either in a kneeboard page, or in projected layer (a little notebook similar to the kneeboard) Succesive presses or Ctrl+V will either overwrite the last radio message or create a new entry. As all DCS actions, it can be assigned to a HOTAS button in order to do it without taking the hands of your controls and taking out the VR headset. All this request is obviously thought for people like me playing in VR, having difficulties to take a simple pencil and notebook or either typing with the VR headset on in any of the notebook 3rd party addons already existing for DCS. Cheers,

In Spain at least Amazon recently changed the delivery date of my unit to 4/5 november. I expect similar dates for other distributors. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Which is totally fine, understable reason, as I said before, just let us know the official word on this. And btw ive never doubt ED. Whatever their decission is. DCS will continue being my main hobbie and i will keep being a happy customer :) Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

I'm not suggesting, i'm stating that so far ED have played the no comment game. There are reasonable reasons for that like that they want to do it but now they dont have enough resources, or maybe they wont do it, in which case they need to state it fair and square so pleople stop asking about it. Again, no conspiracies, no dark intentions whatsoever, just too silent for my taste, hopefully some ED associate will chime in and shed some light to the functionality asked. An Azerbaijani MiG-25 was shot down by the Armenians

This. -
Haven`t tested it myself, but in any case 36-38 nm seems quite right to lock a F16 size target. The F16 radar should be affected by the same behavior if not even more pronounced. It's been quite agreed that F18 and F16 radar are/were overperforming at EA release, and getting detection and locking distances close to what you'd expect from an F15C Eagle. Maybe they are revisiting this.

Quite a simple theory i pose to be considered conspiracy, but ok

Any chance for an update regarding the progress of the F18?
