The thing is ED is not being clear about this, either the clearly state they are not implementing it for whichever reason or they state its planned for the future, but they are playing the No comments game for the moment. I guess they know they should implement at least friendly non AI planes when a L16 gateway is available but right now is uncomfortable given the sheer amounts of things in the pipeline and low price of the update. Mmmm my common sense indicates that given the name of the function will toggle on off the display of the overlaying map in the TAD (The color map). But I could be totally wrong of course.

I probably would not fly it a lot, and i'm more into modern stuff, but for sure I would buy it if ED made such an effort. Just saying.

I would like to know what this function does or suppose to do. It seems "not implemented" for me as it does nothing with TAD SOI.

Yeah, the minimum i would expect is to see other friendly contacts and bogeys detected by an awacs or GCI radars. It would increase survivability so much in a contested air space...

As far ive played with both against human players they are comparable. The sd10 will be the fastest missile inside 15 mn but the 120c will be the one with a range advantage at high altitude long ranges (over 30nm). After today's patch (maybe it was existing before) under certain sun conditions the canopy gets so white that you cannot see anything at all. Track attached. white canopy bug bug.trk

IRL yes, I dont know if its implemented in game. But anything you receive in Link16/SADL can be shown on the scorpion.

There is a rare bug in the hornet where azimuth and bars get inverted and stays in that state, it hapoens after messing aroung with acm modes and gun modes. It sounds it might be the same thing you might be seeing. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Yeah they only thing i hate above the a10c is how vulnerable and slow you are in a contested environment (no air superiority). Doing cas in a f18 or f16 gives you so much other options to run away or defend yourself. Definetely looking forward to marking targets through the jhmcs. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Make sure the crosshair in the hmcs is caged to the center (cross with a square). This way the centering works ok, except that for me sometimes the tgp drifts away by itself. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Yeah it works, in any case you will find the commands under "view cockpit" section, there you can change default binds. Also make sure you look for "save cockpit angle" button so the view stays as desired after recentering. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Thanks Scrape. That was an interesting read that clarifies where US F16 sits at. Do you know of any F16 in other air forces that has made the necessary changes to support smart weapons on stations 4&6? Maybe the IAF ones? I just want to know this because if the answer is no, then there is no point in place for those like myself who thinks that if a certain Air force use that config, it should be permitted as a wink to those people who want to simulate a custom air force configuration (given that we only have one model simulated in DCS)
