ReBar has to be supported by game engine, DCS has not be updated to support it -
Snapdragon XR2 supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, which is 10gbps, DisplayPort 1.4 has more than 25gbps so no way Pico 4 has enough bandwith over USB for a loselees compression

The problem is, even if you get loseless compression, you still need resources from a GPU dedicated to the compression part, theres a review on youtube that compres Quest 2 vs Pico Neo 3 Link via DP that you get, on a RTX 3000 series, a difference on performance from 10 to 20% more on Pico due to no compression is needed, and we all know how good it is that 10/20% more performance on DCS VR

Hind and Apache already has that option, not BlackShark and i cant about any other helicopter -
Why not trying by yourself? I cant think on a better way to see the differences. Increasing resolution have a very low impact on reducing shimmering unless you make a notable increase but, in exchange, you will see the details and screens better, MSAA will reduce the shimmering but will make the picture blurrier

--force_disable_VR for 2D launch --force_enable_VR for VR launch --force_steam_VR to force the use of SteamVR (for those headsets that his main API is different, like Oculus/Meta ones) -
No, as long as you check the Enable VR option on VR tab the game should load in VR mode if Quest 2 are conected via Link or AirLink. If not, add --force_enable_VR to DCS shorcut

Because they change something about how the shader work. The problem is that DCS should redo the shaders if anything change but it looks its not, thats why you have to manually delete, but i think since months ago the updater do it automatically, but looks like sometimes it fails -

But how a dedicated folder for every map shaders would increase the performance? DCS engine doesnt have to search where the compiled shaders are, he already knows where they are and their name, he just load on RAM or VRAM when he is loading the mission. Its not "search for the file and load it to the VRAM" its "Load the xxx.fxo file that its in fxo folder" -
DCS needs not only a map streaming, but a totally revamp of the I/O streaming from disk even with today maps, it's 2022 and it cant be that every time the game tries to load a new unit on a mission it stutter even on fast NVME ssd

Well, exactly AMD developed with DiCE (the guys from Battlefield series) the Mantle API but Vulkan, while based at first on Vulkan, was (and are) developed by Khronos Group -
Don't see it like an attack, it's not that, it's just ED said multiple times that stereo parser its an experimental feature not released yet, so the use of it its, like i said, experimental, they know theres problems of effects rendering on one eye only, its not flood illumination only, the transparency effects also sometimes fail, you can see it on smoke and canopies on external views, etc...

Mmm, have you activated stereo parser? It a know issue that, at night, some flooding lights its only rendered on one eye

Have you checked at laser DED page if the code it´s correct? Now if you hot start laser code is 0 and you have to change it. GBU-12 works fine but i tried CBU-97 on TOSS bombing and it allways fall short too, tried on tanks at waypoint 3 on Persian Gulf instant mission hot start take off, tried from differents bearings and alwais the same, so no wind problem- 24 replies

XR2 its the same SOC you can find on a Quest 2, its has like a 1/25 raw power of a 3080ti so yes, you will need you PC GPU
