  1. lol * A mind-machine interface blowing the graphics straight up your visual cortex, the G's to your inner ear and the sounds as well. * A detailed rendering of the entire world at a 2mm detail level. * Every (flying) machine ever built represented as AI units. * Unit AI that behaves like a human: is smart, has fears but can be brave, can overlook things, can spot a glint in the distance. * tactical and strategic AI making for a dynamic campaign that makes the old flacon game look like ace combat * it'll cook you dinner, wash your clothes and *** your *****
  2. Received and installed my slew upgrade today. It's awesome. Worth every penny and minute of waiting time. But then, we in this hobby know that good things come to those who wait eh :) I managed to get two AGM-65F's off in one pass in the hornet! Unmodded, I would often need five passes just to get one shot off.
  3. Ill be lapping it up. Looks great!
  4. Such short memories. Don't you guys remember Falcon 4.0? Strike Eagle III? Janes' Super Hornet? Those things were buggy as heck too. It has always been this way. Detailed flight sims are stupendously complex and there's just no way they get "completed" quickly. Real life aircraft have bugs as well, but creative ground- and aircrew find workarounds and temp fixes. But there's no duct tape for virtual aircraft. I think we should not focus on what isn't there, but enjoy what is. Razbam are working hard on harrier, and it's gon' be gud. Well it already is, but it's improving even further. Imagine, next time you want to post a vitriolic rant about a missing flare program how you would feel if it were you who has said flare program on his monday morning todo list but are having a hard time coding around some peculiar weirdness in DCS framework code? Would you enjoy being called a lazy laggard for that? So don't. Doe 'es lief (be nice for a change)
  5. Heh yeah because the multiplayer side is all that matters. I hope we get durandal, I have great memories of bombing runways with those in falcon 3.0 and 4.
  6. We'll get it when it's ready, no use trying to get a date or wanting one. That will only set yourself up for disappointment.
  7. 's all good man! And in the meantime, a tomcat can imitate a 'vark pretty well. It can also do some of that pilot sh*t on the way out :)
  8. +1 This and the odd short range at which (city) light sources are visible are what keeps me a strict day flyer.
  9. Get close. If you think you are close enough, get closer.
  10. It's slated to get a new cockpit and external model as well, should be even better eh!
  11. Lol that does not look like an easy job indeed. Imagine having to do that at night after failing to trap four times or face riding the silk elevator into a stormy ocean. brrr.
  12. Amen brother, preach it!
  13. Yeah it's great, looking forward from getting waved off by Jell-O in my tomcat time after time :):joystick:
  14. I for one am quite content with the way things are. Sure there's room for improvement, there always is, but I'm like a pig in the mud with DCS. I don't see why people need to be so gorram dramatic all the time.
  15. Or extend your stick. A longer pole makes making fine inputs easier.
  16. Alas, bug still present in current beta 2.5.4.30386
  17. Just read up on this thread, and you guys (miles, firecat) are knocking it out of the park!

Did that cluster bomb one just take evasive action or was that just random maneuvering?
  19. huh.. that's odd. I dont remember my hog doing that...
  20. Yes there is. In the stores management MFD you can program them to be dropped in pairs. That ought to sort you out. IIRC one of the training tutorials teaches you how to. Good luck!
  21. Huh.. And I thought mission 5 was hard (not managed to win that one yet)
  22. That was excellent sir, thank you for filling half an hour with fun and levity! moar plx?
  23. Press the alt button on the UFC, then turn off GCAWS (?) in the panel above the left MFD.
  24. I'd like to wish leatherneck all the luck in building this machine. You'll have my fiddy bucks.
