  1. I‘ll have another go at it, probably tomorrow or so. I was able to reproduce it but during online play where tracks are insanely large and not much use for here. I‘ll try to capture the issue specifically
  2. It also has a stuck scale when i use harms and am nowhere near in range of the SPI for the harm. you can test it with about any weapon. Even rocket pods. If i was 7nm away from the target with the mav, i swap weapon type, now my HMD shows a 7nm scale. test it for yourself and let me know. it even showed a scale for mavericks after i landed from a mav sortie and rearmed harms but no more mavs. I took off, went to AG mode, turned on my harms (way too far from the target to get a harm scale in POS submodes). This is definitely wrong. oh and if it was a ccrp scale, then why is the range not decreasing on the scale? When overflying the target point it still shows the values from when i had MAVs selected and was in MAV range.
  3. I did some tests. following setup: bandit F16 at 30k ft, hot, set to "do nothing". see test.miz i then adjusted my own spawn, starting at 31k ft and increasing in increments of 1000 ft each time and observed at what range the radar detects the target. from 31k up to 37k ft, the detection was at about 42nm, possible to bug the bandit at about 39nm as advertised. Then i tested 38k ft. and i hit a brick wall so to speak. suddenly i can only detect the bandit at 30nm, bug possible at constantly 26.5nm roughly. so 1000ft lost me 10+nm. no gradual decline, just instant. i ran it again, starting at 38k ft just to confirm. same result then i ran the 37k ft test again, waited til radar detected the bandit, instantly pulled up to 38k ft and i lost him quick. he only reappeared at 30nm, bug at 26.5nm. no gradual decline. instant drop off of 10+nm range MIZ here, just change your own altitude to run the tests. results in zip below too i don't know if that is correct behavior, it does seem odd however. If someone wants to test other altitude blocks to see where you hit that wall with the 10+nm instant drop off, feel free test.miz Radar Tests.zip
  4. There‘s a key bind „smoke generator on/off“ you will need to bind. Works in any master mode without needing master arm on
  5. I dont see them in the loadout screen tbh.
  6. I tested a scenario, me at 40 000, enemy at 20 000 could only detect and lock at 26nm as can be seen in the track EDIT: Both planes are F-16s Look down.trk
  7. Reproduction: load Mavs and GBU 12 power on MAV Fly in range of Mav (about 8nm from a SPI) confirm that the MAV range scale is displayed now select GBU 12 now on HMD the Mav Range Scale is displayed.
  8. Most notably is the lagging when the PDLT contact changes altitude. If you PDLT for example the flight lead, he climbs from 10k ft to 20k ft, the track doesnt smoothly move with him, but rather in „increments“, every 3-5 seconds or so. Accuracy of the symbology gets worse, the closer you are to that contact.
  9. Curtently available only on open beta version
  10. afaik the time indication is correct but i'm no expert, it depends on the weapon and/or master mode. sometimes even the weapon delivery submode like for example PRE or VIS for INS weapons like JDAM, WCMD and JSOW.
  11. The "save cockpit angles" keybind is RAlt+Num0
  12. Weapon time on target or time over steerpoint, if you compare it with your DED you see that it indicates time in certain ways. it basically indicates some sort of time related to the steerpoint/spi and weapon you got selected and delivery mode (Pre/vis), i think
  13. no issue here. make sure the mavs are in PRE mode.
  14. You could add them to your own created mission and obviously only add the ones related to the map. or you can install them per plane in the savegames folder (i‘d have to check at my pc for the correct path) and then they‘d be in the planes kneeboard no matter where you fly. personally i use the latter method, BUT it will ignore the map connection. (Sadly there’s no such feature yet) It‘s simply all of them and i‘ll have to switch through the pages to find the correct one for the map i fly on. Plus side of this is, that it also works on any mp server and instant action mission and missions that other people have created. the first method only works on missions you created or someone had created and included the same kneeboards into the mission file Since scrolling through all the kneeboards first to get to your desired one is (depending on amount) tedious, i use the bookmark feature, bookmark the correct ones on startup and use the next bookmark / previous bookmark keybinds to quickly get the relevant kneeboards. also note that the naming of the kneeboard affects their order. So lets say you wanna get to checklists first before you get to maps, you could prefix checklists with „01“ in the file name and the kneeboards with charts with „02“ and that‘ll put them in order. if the prefix is identical, the next letter will be chosen. So 02_caucasus will always come before 02_nevada as example. If you‘d want nevada first, you could name caucasus as „03_caucasus“. EDIT: Kneeboard path: C:\Users\%YOURUSERNAME%\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Kneeboard\F-16C_50 If the Kneeboard folder doesnt exist, it has to be created, same with the folder per plane. I am not sure, but i think if you put the PNG files directly in the "kneeboard" folder instead of a plane specific sub-folder, it might apply to all planes. but i have not tested it and dont use it that way, so dont quote me on that
  15. you'd use the last 3 digits (the ones after the "/" instead of the ones in front of it. Anapa would be N45 00.269 and E 037 20.869
  16. That‘s what i mean. During that part, does the missile stay stabilized or not? Currently in DCS it doesnt
  17. Say, you lock the wrong thing and have to break lock. Should the missile still be ground stabilized to the td box or not? Cuz currently it isnt, and you have to reset the whole process starting with HUD SOI etc
  18. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312200/ I use those often. They dont have the airfield charts with taxiways etc, but they‘re compact, have runway info + frequencies of tower and more
  19. She does seem to pull up ever so slightly. With the VVI perfectly level with the horizon. Disconnecting the stick and contols perfectly centered, the vvi starts creeping up above the horizon line very very slowly. And this whithout accelerating or decelerating
  20. The dogfight mode switch i think has 3 positions. Center = off. Then there is the dogfight mode which defaults to aim9 and guns (if no aim 9 it will use amraams and gun). Easiest Indicator for that mode is the gun funnel in the hud. the other position is the missile override mode, which for the most part is identical to the notmal AA mode. But because it is an override mode to quickly get amraams, it will, as its name says, override whatever mode you are in at the time of selecting the Missile Override Mode. to exit that mode, you‘d have to deselect the Missile override mode by placing the switch in the center/off position. there‘s a ton of different binding options for the dogfight mode. if you use buttons instead of a 3 way switch, you might wanna bind the following 2 Dogfight/center missile override/center which means, the buttons act as toggle between the center and respective mode
  21. That‘s the way. If you are in AA, press AA again. If in AG, press AG again. However, if you are in dogfight mode/missile override mode, you must exit that mode first and it will send you to the mode that was selected prior to the dogfight mode, that could be any of the three (nav, ag,aa). also make sure you‘re not in Selective jettison
  22. oh i dunno about AI. i have never tried with AI wingmen to get them to send their SPI to me but if other players send a SPI, there is a message showing in the HUD something like "MRKPT 500" which lets you know that the transmitted SPI is now saved in your Jet on Steerpoint 500. on the HSD, there's a small (i think yellow) "x" at the location of all the received SPIs that wingmen sent to you. all you have to do at that time is to press 4 on the ICP to open the STPT page, then select STPT 500, hit enter. then i press CZ to get rid of any slew offsets and i should be looking right where the transmitted SPI is. To get rid of the HUD message, press the WARN RESET on the ICP
  23. No need for high blood pressure mate, scroll up a bit and read again.
  24. there's buttons that can be bound in the controls that basically set throttle from OFF to IDLE and another to set from IDLE to OFF. there might even be one that toggles the state IDLE/OFF. For axis settings i dont know. it definitely is possible to set up within some software (depending on your joystick of course) to define the first say 5% of your axis range to act as a button. this would work well probably with Throttle quadrants with physical detents. so you could set the idle detent where your throttle range reaches 5%. drawback of such a "virtual button" is obviously, that you'd sacrifice some axis range and depending on how much range your throttle has, it can make fine adjustments a little tricky, for AAR or formation flying as an example. but i personally havent tried it myself, so i dont really have any experience with that. i use 2 buttons, one from off to idle, and one from idle to off. and it works perfectly fine i'm sure some guys can describe it a lot better and there may even be some youtube tutorials on such things.
