  1. Yeah, it's in the Viper Roadmap page1 pinned in F-16 forum, I'm only concerned on how long will Early Access state last, since they plan on bringing SniperXR after EA. But lookint at Hornet that is still in EA after how much, 4-5years? and Viper was announced in july 2019, we might have to be patient with Sniper XR.
  2. Not using something in combat doesn't make it unrealistic tho, they still used it just not in combat if what they say is correct. I like how this turned out however, best solution.
  3. It's really a psychological issue of people thinking they are lesser people cause they cant accomplish something, it's their problem really. Then they like to present it like those that accomplished it have no life and play all day long with superior equipment, cause after all how else can they do it right? But as I said earlier, there is really no difference and everyone can do AAR and all you need to do it practice like with everything else.
  4. You don't understand that there is no gatekeeping, I did my first AAR with T16000 stick, it has that slider on the back that I used for throttle, it was very hard to do it with that kind of throttle but I did it, and yes I invested time in it I didn't just jump in the cockpit and airquake all day long. Now I use TM F-16 stick with magnetic base and T16000 throttle combination, and even tho the throttle is not that precise I can do it with it, cause I spent time practicing. Reality is that you won't be good or expert in anything if you don't spend time doing it, it just wont happen. For example you can't be good at tennis if you don't spend time playing tennis. So if you don't spend time practicing AAR you won't do it. That's it, that's reality. It's not about you being a lesser person with using aids, it's really not about that, it's not that somebody is telling you how to do something, its like that cause it is like that in reality, they don't have aids to AAR and since we are trying to simulate.... its self explanatory really. And it's about that this game is a simulator, and that means it is trying to simulate the real thing as close as it can, by introducing aids like these this game is moving the opposite direction and becoming arcade, and that's not why all of these people are here for.
  5. I know its not A but worth a watch, MiG-29K take off form a carrier.
  6. For landing, I don't know if you use rudder pedals, with them you can steer the aircraft on the ground by pressing left or right brake, you don't need NWS or rudder for steering, you can assign those to key binds as well. For taking off yea its difficult but I usually turn off NWS at 80ish knots, I point the plane at the one side of the runway before turning off NWS, depending on the wind direction, so I anticipate the movement, it reaches enough speed then fast to have rudder authority and you can steer with it. Hope this helps.
  7. I'd like to add KC-10 too.
  8. Nice to hear this, thanks!
  9. The product is not finished which means there are more items and features to be added, Lantirn that we had all along is gonna get renamed to, imagine that, Lantirn, and because Lantirn didn't have TV mode back then it is gonna be removed so we have more accurate representation of the pod in use. So you will have all this except TV. They sill didn't say which Lantirn are we getting that means we don't know if its gonna be 40 years old, how did you get that assumption? furthermore Sniper XR is gonna be added after Early Access. So if you look at all the facts: - We get accurate representation of the pod in question, not a mashup of 2 pods. - Later on we get SniperXR, a modern pod. - No point in bringing Litening when there is almost no info on it. - ED is trying to give us the best representation of the F-16 that they can, and they are correcting stuff that has been implemented wrong (which is even more work) which is, in my opinion, very good, and I'm thankful for it. So basically you are complaining that they are being too accurate in their representation. You'd rather fly an imaginary plane like Jeff? which is a mashup of 3 blocks, as you said. (I have no idea, I don't fly it) So fly it, if you like to be in a fantasy jet.
  10. With aligning helmet.
  11. Hello, To continue on this thread: I noticed that when MFD page is switched, SOI is not switched with it, in fact, for example, if TGP was SOI and switch to something else for example HAD page on the same MFD, TGP will remain SOI in the background and it can be controlled, same with other sensors HAD can be controlled while TGP is displayed on MFD. Example: F-16 SOI logic .trk Examples: Switching from AA radar to GM radar while AA radar is SOI, GM radar is not SOI when switched to: F-16 AA to GM not SOI .trk I found a video showing that when radar is switched from AA to GM the GM is SOI: Start from 8:27 in the video: I didn't find anywhere in HAF -34 where it says that some sensor can be controlled in the background. I believe SOI should change with page switch, might be worth to investigate. Thanks.
  12. As far as I know its game coding limitation, when refueling in the air it doesn't matter how much fuel you have in internal tanks, you will be topped off.
  13. 2500 or below internal, will fill them up to full, that's with 2 wing bags, haven't tried with 3 bags tho.
  14. So to comment on realism on that video clip, 1. They are trying to fool radar guided missiles with flares 2. They are in trail formation during combat mission 3. They are sweating in air conditioned control room (legacy of first topgun I guess) 4. That joker is sitting in superhornet rdy to roll and THEN he asks for permission to launch, he gets denied and now he has to take off all that gear, bummer 5. They are speaking on comms voicing every single action they take like emergency jettison, deploy countermeasures etc... those comms are full of chatter during combat engagement 6. They are constantly flying through some canyons yet 100 missiles are launched at them, how? 7. Not to mention that during the movie they look for AA targets using Ground Radar I could go on, for a movie its great, I loved it, its fun but realism is not present there.
  15. wow...
  16. Pure case of its the pilot not the airframe. Still nothing to do with hot/cold start option.
  17. Alright, but all your arguments aren't really a reason not to add such an option, for MP server or missions where mission makers want to have such an option enabled.
  18. Hi, Wasn't it Sniper XR? Or that's the same, if not is this is changed now too? As far as I can find 2007 F-16 had Sniper XR pods.
  19. Yeah, big difference there.
  20. Was gonna report it too but couldn't find any videos on it before. good job. Did some search. This one maybe:
  21. You don't have to wait 5 min, but you just have to have AAR doors open, scroll up I explained exactly how to do it. Off course its easier to drop them and rearm, but if you are going for some realism you can do it with AAR door open. It is after all how it should work, since when you open AAR door ext fuel tanks depressurize and you can fill them up.
  22. That's an assumption, and anyone can make an assumption, I think odds would be in favor of choice, and it would be enabled. But nevertheless it is not a bad idea to have it as an option.
  23. And that's completely fine, that's why it would be optional for mission creators to choose if they want to allow it or not.
  24. Yes exactly that, have the option to choose hot or cold but only if mission designers assign that option, if they want hot or cold they are still able to set it like that. For example there are some MP servers with really good missions that are hot starts and I like to cold start the plane. Another example is a cold start server but if you get shot down many times cold starting a plane can get tiresome, so you could cold start once and later on do hot starts etc...
  25. Option to choose hot or cold start before the mission or when picking a slot in MP server.
