OxideMako Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Well, to tell the truth, I don't need that overlay at all, the problem is that originally I bought the DCS game through Steam and now I'm not sure how do I install the MiG-21 module onto the Steam version. You can't. But you can use the Steam DCS keys on the standalone version of DCS World IIRC.
F l a n k e r Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 21:21:21 )) Unacceptable! Too vague: I need the milliseconds!
Teeter Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Cobra, quick question about the release process! At what point do you hand the installer package over to ED to upload to the store? Wednesday at 11:55? :P When you mention you are all working through the night until release (paraphrasing), what is it that you guys are doing? Finalizing the installer? Trying to jam more features into the initial release than are currently advertised? On a side note, can we expect a manual before the release? /Gregory Smiddy Programming Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Kenan Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Trying to jam more features into the initial release than are currently advertised? I seriously doubt that. Imagine the ammount of bug reports if they were to add stuff in the last minute.. ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Airway Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Haven't preordered yet, but I'm going to definitely! But here's a challenge: If I get a screenshot of the LN MiG-21bis in East German NVA livery, I will buy this module to the full price of $49,99 on release day, instead of the reduced price $45,99 now to support Leatherneck Simulation with their great work. Minimum resolution 1024x1024px. Can I count you in? Will post my bill here to prove my pledge. :smilewink:  Very eager to get into the cockpit of this great piece of art you created. Well done all at Leatherneck simulation and thank you for keeping up the work even with the great setback you hat in the project!

JaNk0 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 You will be needing a 7 k runway to get that thing airborne without JATO [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

VincentLaw Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Corrigan took a picture of the MiG-21 in 1.2.10. This is what it looks like in EDGE. 3 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vinny002 Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Hi, VincentLaw! You know better than that. The photo of the Mig-21 in EDGE would look like the one in the photo below or pretty darned close to it!! Please see attached. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent 1

AJaromir Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 (edited) BTW how about indiegogo backers, when they will recieve their keys? THX Edited September 16, 2014 by AJaromir
Muppetlord Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 BTW how about indiegogo backers, when they will recieve their keys? THX There is already a thread about this. But to answer your question...They will receive their keys before launch.
Mode1961 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 There is already a thread about this. But to answer your question...They will receive their keys before launch. I believe they had plans to release the keys (and the plane) to backers early but they are running into problems that have to be solved and I don't think the backers will get anything early. Cobra had mentioned he had some good news last week for backers, but haven't heard anything since and because we are only 2 days away from release and we don't even have the manual yet then I think this is really going to come down to the wire.
chev255 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I believe they had plans to release the keys (and the plane) to backers early Can you support that claim as I don't recall Cobra saying this? As far as I remember they only said backers would have their keys in time for the general release.
Wizz Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Has there been a truer statement about how DCS (and certainly the MiG-21 experience) works in reality! I'm looking forward to my key as a backer, but I really feel supporting LN on the first day with an ED online purchase is good for everyone - the community foremost (really guys - let's invest in LN [what could be next?]). A little now might mean a lot later... ;)

"I'll spill the beans and note that we wanted to do something exciting for our backers -- but it's dependent on things coming together without issues or delay, thus this is not a sure thing. (and won't be announced in advance, except this.. kind of..) It's chaos in Team Leatherneck right now -- we're all in high gear. __________________ /Nicholas Dackard Artist Leatherneck Simulations EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE 1
Andrei Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 I guess LN will say a quiet "thank you" to all those backers who decided to purchase it it ED shop despite receiving a key. No big harm in telling you now. We had hoped to release an early version of the MiG-21 to backers as early as the 10th -- but for rather obvious reasons we had to postpone this until it became unfeasible. We knew this might happen so we did not want to announce anything until we were actually uploading the installer package. Sorry! We hope to release the manual later today.
