flo57100 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Hello there ! Question about our favorite helicopter, will we have additionnal external tanks functionnal in the future ? I can load additionnal KA50 tanks, but they seem to be only cosmetic, I have zero fuel indication when switching fuel gauge selector knob on "additionnal"
SnorreSelmer Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 The Mi-8 can load fuel tanks in its cargo compartment. The main fuel tanks are already on the outside (the left and right tanks are the "logs" on the side of the fuselage). Also, there is no way to route fuel from the pylons. foxbat155 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 RL Mi-8 have few additional fuel tank options: up to 4 tanks inside cargo compartment, up to six on the external hard points, and two on fuselage sides mounted above standard tanks ( in two bigger/smaller sub variants ). Even standard fuel tanks have 3 variants with different capacity. Users just order option they need.
Askerov24 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 In Russian section of our beloved forum developers said no, they are not going to implement them. Acer Aspire E5-571G-713W/Intel® Core™ i7-4510U 2.0-3.1GHz/12 GB DDR3 L Memo/NVIDIA® GeForce® 820M 2 GB/1000 GB HDD
foxbat155 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Honestly this is very sensible decision, maps sizes in DCS just do not justified this. I think more rational is ask for long range radio-navigation system which originally was on board MTW-2.

AlexandrT Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 What setting (value) is going to be the most realistic? Is it 100? Each helicopter shivers differently, depends on beating of cone and many other parameters. I for myself have chosen average value-50 of %. But perhaps periodically I will change, more-less, for receiving effect, it seems as other machine.

BaD CrC Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Magnificent eight is certainly the most realistic chopper module in DCS. Amazing. Thanks BST! https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
msalama Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 CrC: Actually the best and most realistic in any sim ever IMO. So thank you BST for a magnificent chopper, it truely is the best  The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

AlexandrT Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 Turbulence Flew about shaking on all flight runs today. I can recommend setup - "turbulence". Is established in weather. Maximum setup 60. I use golden mean - "Turbulence 30". It was the most comfortable. I did not use earlier, and today have tested it with different settings. The excellent combination together with shaking has turned out. Vibrations are stronger, it is less, cabin and feeling of flight has recovered. The pleasure has come from flights.
chbn Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Здравствуйте AlexsandrT, Does this vibration or shaking effect option is already in use in Mi-8? Because, I use DCS 1.5.6 version and I could not find the "Cockpit Camera Shake" option inside the SPECIAL tab. See my DCS 1.5.6 release screen capture that I made. Edited February 11, 2017 by chbn
