The awful, pixelated, and completely unrealistic cockpit reflections in the Su-25(A) and Su-25T have bothered a lot of people including myself, so I went ahead and fixed it. I've been playing for a few days now. I've done all the training for the SU-25 and have pretty good understanding of how the plane and weapon systems work. I loaded into my first mission which is a escort/search and destroy mission. first time I couldn't get the LA for anti radar missiles no matter what range I was at and then lost my lock and couldn't get it back. figured I had done something wrong. I have replayed the anti radar training multiple times and know I'm doing everything right. everything works well in the training but when it comes mission time I still cant get the LA to fire. I figured out the lock issue but I still cant get weapons the fire. step by step I fly for 20 minutes on auto pilot. get enemy radar contact. turn off auto pilot. switch to air to ground mode. turn on targeting pod. make sure Anti radar missiles are selected. lock on radar signature. make sure range carrot is within parameters. squeeze trigger and nothing. idk what's going on. I'm sure its user error but idk what I'm doing wrong I'm following the training to a T and its not working. thanks in advance. -
Hi everyone, I just noticed that the Su-25 has received new external lights, they look a lot better that they used to (F/A-18C take note), and are visible at a distance too, without looking ridiculous like the Hornet. Overall a fantastic step forward, great job ED! Only issue is that if you zoom in too far the bloom disappears. The landing lights could do with some more work (to the level of the current MiG-29 would be fantastic), but at least now the lights-on texture is only visible at angles where it should be. As we all know, most new DCS pilots first experience with DCS will be the Su-25T - which gives this series it's name. A bit more overlooked is the base model Su-25 which comes in FC3 or stand-alone at a VERY ACCESSIBLE price. Between them, they provide a great introduction to the world of ground attack in DCS. I have been working on a series of videos as an introduction to these aircraft. Hopefully they will be useful to new players who are just getting hooked, and maybe of some interest to veterans who have moved on to the higher-end addictions offered by DCS. Does anyone know the 3 laser codes used by the KA-50 for the Kh-25? I want to try budy lasing with Su-25 T, or use JTAC soldier with FAC mission, or try to use lua function : Spot Object Spot.createLaser(Object Source , Vec3 localRef , Vec3 point , number laseCode) The objective is to create a laser designation for the Kh-25 ML. But there is no documentation on the laser codes used by the KA-50. There is a 3-position rotary button in the cockpit to change the laser code of the KA-50, without knowing which laser codes are used. @ED, can you give us some feedback? Is budy lasering possible: - Between devices of different coalitions - Between Russian aircraft (such as the Su-25 and the KA-50)? Buddy lasing is already possible between KA-50 knowing the Kamov laser codes would allow us to carry out tests between different devices -
