marluk Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) Wow, awesome. I live in Batajnica, near the airbase, I love watching these guys fly. Camping out with binoculars is one of my favorite pastime activities. We need an open day this year, I loved everything in 2012. Besides programming, flying is the only thing I could picture myself doing. Its fascinating to see that somebody can manage both. Hehe. Here in Croatia, we have few MiGs-21 also. But they are in really bad shape. I think that they are in Ukraina on remont at this time. I think that JNA had respecting air force for that time... but it is past tense. Anyway, we don't have good airplanes but we have great pilots! ... to work on flight sims ... better than shooting on people. Nefron Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Your MiGs are coming back, and you even bought more of them, 12 jets total. Not that bad. I don't that Serbian 21s are going to fly much longer, and I hope we are going to get something new soon. The last time I was at the airbase, I had the pleasure of climbing into a MiG-21 cockpit. Good think DCS: MiG-21 wasn't released at that time. The temptation to start flipping switches would have been too great, and they would need to drag me out.

The Duxford build was a BETA version and was missing several features and has several bugs. Nowhere was it announced that it's being released right after Duxford. swe_badger Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Official website still says release will be May-June. I guess as long as nothing unforeseen happens that is still the time-frame of release. Cobra847 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) It is true that you never said that, though you did say that it would not be a long delay even though the March 31st release date you missed was A LONG TIME ago, And of course you did say that the 1.2.8 release of DCS was when you were going to release, and 1.2.9 of DCS is probably not far off if the beta releases are to be believed. Are we going to do this again? I feel like we're in the Matrix. Do I need to apologize for saying "not long after" again? If so; I apologize. We stated 1.2.8 was the TARGET platform, and it still is. For that matter, I have no idea when 1.2.9 is arriving and neither do you. BTW, I thought you had said a week or so ago that the Mig was feature complete and now only had to do bug fixes. Just because it is feature complete does not mean a build we send out to be publicly flown is. The new damage modelling (for example) was stripped out at the last second because it caused lighting seams in the fuselage. Cherry picking words to make me appear dishonest is not very nice. Rammit Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Guys please, Cut the devs some slack, this project was heading towards the rocks not that long ago and they're doing their best to get us a simply stunning looking module, I for one am happy to wait however long it takes to get the standard of module we want, that doesn't mean I am not itching to get my hands on this beauty, but rather I feel a bit sorry for the guys working their asses off to be harassed by us on an almost daily basis "If the MWS didn't see it, it didn't happen"
