Cobra847 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Dear All, During the past few weeks we've been steadily making improvements to ensure the longetivity and excellence of the MiG-21 module. Some longer term and overarching improvements can be seen in the latest monthly update (January) and will be made available at a later date. Here is a short list of improvements that are due to be included in the next DCS: World patch. Some of these are changes are not final and will require tweaking in the future. (e.g. the Flight Model). DCS: MiG-21 Preliminary Changelog 1.2.14+ -Fixed fired weapons not disappearing from pylons/after wing separation -Fixed engine surging when testing the nosecone with PPS. -Separated main and auxiliary pitot tube installation freezing algorithm -Fixed engine sound if the FORS/MAX AFB switch is used. -Improved Oxygen usage algorithm. -Improved precision of RSBN/PRMG NAV Data. -Fixed radar lights in shut down/out of order states. -Fixed Radar test mode reset. -Fixed R-60 Lights. -Improved engine air-temperature dependancy. -Significant mprovement in Flight Modelling; especially in supercritical flight regimes. -Engine Overspeed limit removed in Simulation Mode. Engine damage is now simulated. -Fuselage Drag overspeed limit removed in Simulation Mode. -Ground Steering (Taxi) more restrictive in Simulation Mode. ("Steering Assist"). Additionally; we're ccurrently working on fixing some incorrect ballistic calculations related to the ASP gunsight pipper. We hope that these will be ready in time for the next scheduled DCSW update. Aviators Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 great... L'importante non è stabilire se uno ha paura o meno, è saper convivere con la propria paura e non farsi condizionare dalla stessa. Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.
Art-J Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Although debates between users and LN get a bit nasty and heated sometimes, one cannot argue the results - fixes for this module are prepared more often than in case of other ones. And what an important bunch of fixes these are. Thumbs up and keep up the good work. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

JorgeIII Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Good news, thanks Cobra for keeping us updated. AKA TANGO-117. DCS Modules: most of them, proficiency: only a few at a time. The most crucial aspect of a simulator is its realistic physics and precise aerodynamics, accurately reflecting all flight conditions.

upupandaway Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Nice to read, thx for the update. I especially love the improvements for simulation mode regarding engine damage, ground steering etc. The first time I read it had been simplified, it made me a little sad. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
Esac_mirmidon Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I think this AFM improvements could make more than one very happy taking in count the incredible hearthquake suffered in this forums about AFM limits vs realism. Great work as always. The Fishbed is getting better and better after every update. " You must think in russian.." FSKRipper Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Thanks for this patch. Let's hope nobody complains that his engine is desintegrating beyond a speed limit which was so "unrealistic" Only a joke, let it hit them hard :megalol:. Would like to see overspeeding turbine blades setting the whole thing to fire without warning. i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
amalahama Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Will ASP in A/G mode no longer provide 'perfect shooting solution' when radar is off? Regards!

Buzzles Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Good stuff! I take it the '21 will be out of beta in the near-ish future then? As an aside, did you have a good holiday? Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
zaelu Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Great! Please take into account to add two "natural" controls for weapons selector knob. Right and left or Clockwise and Counter clockwise... instead of that myriad of positions we have to chase on the keyboard. Thank you! Zakatak Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I think we'd all appreciate some more natural controls, such as turn knob left/right or flick switch on/off instead of having to map every single knob position and switch state. Otherwise, great work!
