Coxy_99 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Well some people believe that midichlorians run the universe. Crazy huh. There will be those who think one way.....and those that think another. Can't please all parties but BS have done a great job of handling all groups Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk Yea the team do a great job the moaning is terrible lol I say round 9 should be AI only, we just get to watch and see how it all plays out. Reaper6 This is a +1 LOL i would actually yea.

Pocket Sized Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) Forgive me if I'm missing something, but wouldn't it make sense to add the Korean War jets as recon/scout aircraft? They're both better suited for the task than the Hawk/L-39 I think. Edited September 9, 2016 by Pocket Sized DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
MacEwan Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Hello, I would like to register on BlueFor as a Lonewolf. In-Game Callsign: Mac Preferred Aircraft: F-15 / A-10C I have also filled out an application on the BuddySpike Website. The application is currently "Open" so IO wasn't sure if I also needed to post here to get that approved. Thanks in advance
D4n Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Round 9 is around the corner, get ready :) So it will be same as round 8 but with AWACS and player controllable Tor/Osa SAMs? :D (please please please! For sake of realism! :) ) 1 DCS Wishlist: 2K11 Krug SA-4 Ganef SAM, VR-TrackIR icons next to player names in score-chart PvP: 100+ manual player-kills with Stingers on a well known dynamic campaign server - 100+ VTOL FARP landings & 125+ hours AV-8B, F-14 crew, royal dutch airforce F-16C - PvP campaigns since 2013 DCS server-admins: please adhere to a common sense gaming industry policy as most server admins throughout the industry do. D4n Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Weather is random each mission restart. The time of day not. It loads the next session after each mission restart/crash. Right now it's morning/midday/dusk. Greg How about only morning and dusk? (As morning mission will reach midday after 4 hours mission uptime anyway... :P ) Also random seasons or not? (Hot summer day after 4h icecold winter server restart?) xD I really 'd like to see snow sometimes!!! roccoo Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 So it will be same as round 8 but with AWACS and player controllable Tor/Osa SAMs? :D (please please please! For sake of realism! :) ) I'd be more realistic and only ask to get the zu-23's back  Unfortunately vehicles and AWACS have repeatedly proven to overload the server and crash it... You would lose the nice stability we had in round 8.

RightStuff Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Let also not for get round 3 where people drove vehicles 8nto sheds and under bridges to hide them to keep the other team from closing objectives. I don't think vehicles should be player controlled. Well, sitting ducks in the open field are truly boring. Sure, hiding vehicles makes it really difficult, but some are always claiming for more "R/L". This way you'll have more "R/L". ;) A solution could be not to exploit it by using places where a vehicle definitely cannot be destroyed - I remember a bug with a FARP where vehicles where hidden... But bridges, hangars will make it more ... hm ... "interesting". :) And the vehicle belonging to an objective should not leave a pre-defined circle. Obviously I would vote for controllabe vehicles.
roccoo Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 That round was really fun: tank battles, moving units, hidden aa made it more challenging and more realistic. Yeah, sometimes people didn't play by the rules and moved units too far, but it was easily exposed and fixed. But it was one of the most unstable rounds we played! The server (and the game) just can't handle that unfortunately and I believe BS team are trying their best to make it as stable and complete as possible. I'd say we got to the point where the server is very stable, and maybe they'll start reintroducing some of these features slowly and gradually to see how much it affects the stability and playability. 1
Reaper6 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 You could probablly add the fixed ZU-23 emplacements so people can occupy and fire them. If you did add driveable vehicles, you could make zones around the Airbase/FARPs that if that vehicle exits the zone it automatically blows up. But I could see allot of people hiding the vehicles in trees or buildings, which would make it almost impossible to find. Adding a giant tank battle at the end of the campaign would also be interesting. Not many servers offer the Combined Arms as an option, but is sometimes fun to do. Tello Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Any news ? Did the recent patch broke/fix anything ? Not that I don't enjoy the Open Conflict svr but I got the need.. The need for BlueFlag server(and speed) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dave317 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Same here. I'm quite new to multiplayer but since playing blue flag the other servers don't really cut it.

It was Stingers that caused crashes, ED fixed all that in past patches, now it's super stable! (or have tests with current DCS version proved opposite? Well? So) That Stingers should have caused crashes is new to me, but ground units certainly did. To be more precise: Moving ground units did cause extensive lag which made it unplayable and caused the server to crash. Round 3 ??? When was that, 2008? xD (I am 24 fyi, so guessing u are 35 or so? :P ) So many of u guys here, all above 30 or what? xD :D Nice, reallife pilots! :P (So I am youngest omg! xD ) Let's wait for Greg or another official guy to respond that testing with current version has proven 100% stable... :) Round 3 was last year ... And yes, it was a huge problem, that players abused the ability to directly control ground units by hiding them in places where they can't be seen.
