Xxx Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I know there is no such thing as a silly question, but how is the updated version updated? There is no way, I can see, to tell if we have the final version or the one we originally purchased? The version of the F-86 in the DCS release branch is much, much improved over the original beta released a couple of years ago. And it will continue to receive improvements through regular DCS World patches. Belsimtek just feels that the module is at a point of quality where it can justify no longer calling it "beta".
derelor Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The change log mentions a "two-stage" gun trigger. What is that? The trigger on the B-8A control stick grip of the F-86F has a second detent. The first trigger detent starts the gun camera; at the second detent, the guns or missiles are fired. 1338 - beyond leet ED Forum rules EN|DE|RU
jocko417 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 The change log mentions a "two-stage" gun trigger. What is that? Trigger has two detents, or stages: first click happens at about half travel and activates the gun camera. Continue pulling to second click at full travel fires guns. Edit: Beat me to it :)

OGALCOR Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Hello, I'm happy that F-86 is out of Beta today. But I read this paragraph "in-game training missions in English and Russian language, and single combat missions". And...... Will there be Campaign?? I enjoy a lot with this module:thumbup:

streakeagle Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I would like to say that the F-86F, MiG-15bis, and MiG-21bis are my favorite modules... But that would be a lie, because I like the UH-1H, Mi-8, P-51D, Fw190D9, Bf109K4, F-15C, and Su-27S just as much. I haven't logged my flight time, but I have spent many hours in all of the above modules. The A-10C, Ka-50, Hawk, C101, and L-39 haven't gotten nearly as much love from me because my love is air-to-air combat aside from wild and crazy helo flying. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Kev2go Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Would love to see this released version get playable in 2.0. Seems like 1.5 is getting all the love. same i uninstalled 1.53 beta when 1.5 replaced 1.2 because honestly its just too much space for me to have all 3 separate build of the game installed at the same time. hopefully the release will be playable soon in alpha 2.0 if not also 1.53 stable build shortly. there werent really any significant changes ( mostly fixes) apart from the addition of the m117 bombs & training missions anyways. fjacobsen Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I really wonder how it can be regarded out of beta, when only released for the public DCSW open beta version. The manual alos looks rather unfinished. On many recent DCS module releases the terms beta and release version has really become blurred and it´s really hard to gather what makes a module move from beta to full release version. MickeEinSweden Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Cannot see the update Hello. When I started the game (1.5 Open beta) today The F-86 is still in beta "on the F-86 icon" and there is still no english flightmanual in the docs folder. I then also ran DCS_updater.exe in the bin folder, but still no update of the F-86. What should I do? :helpsmilie:

No offence if the update for the release version will be available in short time, but then at least I guess we can expect the manual to be more finished too - or ? | i7-10700K 3.8-5.1Ghz | 64GB RAM | RTX 4070 12GB | 1x1TB M.2.
