hype train left this station by accelerating. next stop at 4th november!

"I wish" ..that is the F-18 that you can see... :D... But seriously, this thread just can't become more relaxed and off-topic :). My suggestion would be to change its title to "hype train on steroids - post your pictures", "relation between number of wishes and modules speed development", "digital flying combat fairies simulator" or something like that :)

I'll be excited when we get there. To be honest I grow more skeptical about 2016 now with what I read about the task list, but maybe someone can shed some light of optimism.

Would love to see it all come through. But as we know...

With no mention of SoH...must be on the back burner until all this is sorted.

It looks like they took the Hornet cockpit from the 3d modeling software and pasted a random nevada screenshot beyond the cockpit.

 

No lighting effects at all in the Hornet shot, so it must not be from in-game yet.

They always show a pic of the F-18 cockpit, so nothing new there. I think it's quite impossible they will release a beta in 2016. Read through the lines guys, all the work is being done on system, avionics etc. and it's in such raw form still, that they have nothing more to show or talk about. The F-18 is a complex aircraft, it'll take a while.

I would like to see more optimism from the community, people saw the newsletter and kept in their mind that there is no space for the F/A-18, to be released this year so I'm a bit disappointed with that honestly.

 

Of course, sometimes pessimism is necessary because it gives you an idea of what's going on and hey, let's be realistic. But you know, optimism doesn't kill anyone.. :)

Someone on reddit said it may not have it's displacement map done yet?

 

Anyway, I appreciate the update, still hoping for a 2016 release!

 

The Hornet is in the sim and being worked on in the sim. Matt tells me to quit bugging him all the time because he is concentrating on the documentation creation... I am disappointed everyday its not released, but I understand what goes into the creation of these modules.

The dev version is always going through transitions, from lighting to shaders, this shot could have been taken at any point when something wasnt working or wasnt working correctly, I assure you, the devs have the Hornet in the sim.

Are you see the reflections in the radio altimeter, the Hydraulic gauge on the lower and in other gauges in the ED update? :music_whistling: The module are in WIP.
