I feel should chime in that no one in sweden uses the interpretation Tufted Duck (Vigg) in association with the Viggen name. Vigg means lightning bolt (Åskvigg, blixt), a fitting name considering the noise it makes, and it makes more sense than naming it after some duck. :-P

 

There is a hole in how YT stores videos that someone was able to take advantage of. It's unfortunate that someone chose to rob LNS of their big news tomorrow.

 

I think mose people here would agree, we're still excited beyond control though! ;-)

I have to respectfully dissagree with you on this one. Noone thinks of lightning when hearing the word vigg.

The Viggen hasn't had much luck when it comes to it's announcements, has it? I remember back when it was spoiled about it being the "secret" plane. The devs should be able to announce their big news when and how they want to after the many hours they put into it.

 

I'll just drink and get some short term memory loss, then be surprised in the afternoon tomorrow. :)

It's very unfortunate and I do feel bad for LN, but if we're entirely honest, considering we've seen it in use during the Grudge match and the guys have posted a Cold & Dark startup, an announcement in the near future about the release isn't a surprise.

 

On the bright side, it's only going to be the small part of the fanbase that hangs out on here, Hoggit and other forums that know, the wider world won't know, so it'll still be a big surprise for most users :)

As much as I hate to see somebody messing with LNS news release, it makes no difference to me. I am so totally happy with the MiG-21Bis product that I'll pretty much purchase anything they release.

Have a look at the right air intake of this prototype...

 

 

And, 'vigg' or 'åskvigg' meaning lightning or thunderbolt is part of the swedish vocabulary, even if it's not commonly used today.
