I would request to do some research would it be possible to leave the grip/throttle without labels and then make an order possibilities for those who want them, to order a transfer decals (like I mentioned above, used in scale modeling planes) as it would allow anyone then add either english (export) or Cyrillic (authentical) labels to them?

 

All it would require is a 1-2 post card size decals set and little patience to transfer such decals on those with simple time:

It would please everyone who want

1) nothing.

2) with English

3) with Cyrillic

4) custom own (numbers or so)

 

And it wouldn't require any new product lines, options etc.

 

So then choice would be either to ship grip with those, or make it as extra.

 

Yes, some would not want to do any post things, but that is really a simple thing, and who wants authentical, will get the wearing too unless applied little lacker top of them ;-)

The stick is definitely a must buy for me ; I wish the stick could keep the labels. Even if most of us will bind the functions on different buttons, I really dig the copy of the real thing.

My cockpit project is taking a pause at the moment so I'm not in any kind of hurry. This however will be day 1 purchase.

Would preffer version with the labels in whatever language manufacturer finds more attractive. I have no issues applying decals either if supplied.

Ok if we are gonna have a replica with labels lets keep them in the original Cyrillic as per the original. Dont really care what they say as we are all gonna bind controls for 15 ish different aircraft to the one stick top.

 

Ps looks great by the way so labels or no labels dont delay it.

Having used scale models decals, I don't see that as a serious solution. I'm sure the manufacturer of those sticks is already offering the best solution at their disposal.

 

VKB could offer the labels as a preorder option and then know about which percentage of the customers would prefer to have labels so they can order enough of them. I'd be willing to pay some extra amount even, especially if authentic Cyrillic labels are an option.

The TM Warthog has them and nobody complains about that, I don't know why anybody would now. You can cover over them either way.

 

Also, to those saying it's not a real stick, it's a modern Sukhoi stick.

I kinda like them, but I wouldn't shed any tears if they were missing. Can't see them in VR anyway.

 

User decals sounds like an interesting solution, but may not make practical sense.

I'm keeping quiet but I'm reading each and every reply with great attention.

What I can say right away is that Cyrillic prints are impractical from the point of aftersales (and we do have to consider this, too). Like, not every user is going to know anything about Cyr alphabet, and only a tiny minority would have Cyrs on their computer keyboards. Writing to tech support will be an ordeal for these people: how can they explain which button is assigned to which function?

 

I'll see about whether it is possible to like make half a batch with prints and half without. Don't put too much hope on this, but I will find it out.

great to hear you guys came up with a solution that satisfies both camps. I know it sounds ludicrous, but once I was given a bit of a choice whether to have it clean or with labels, I would have found it way harder to accept with labels than without, compared to a situation where it was initially pressented with labels. I guess once you get attached to something you get a bit protective about it :)

Hopefully the choice for labels will also be an option for the European shop and that we don`t have to wait too long for the stick to be available in the Euro shop.;)

Thanks for the nice words; the stick will be introduced to all markets at the same time, may be a day or two difference due to logistics, as shipping to the US takes shorter than to EU - ask those guys in Brussels, why.

I suppose he was referring to the much slower updates on the VKB EU page rather than delivery times.

 

For example, the VKB US page has the new grips listed already, while the EU page doesn't have them listed in the store yet.

 

Many thanks for making ordering the grips with labels possible. It's definitely a welcome bonus for some of us.

Also, to those saying it's not a real stick, it's a modern Sukhoi stick.

 

It is a based to the PAK-FA grip, but the real grip doesn't have the few extra functions the MCG-PRO has (example 4-way+push on index finger top right side of the grip, or 4-way+push under thumb in grip)

 

And that doesn't matter as we are not using a one grip for a single module, instead we use it with multiple so having more buttons and axis is just benefit (you can always leave them unbinded) and that is why no one complains from Warthog because 1) it has most buttons and swithes to this day so you just needed to accept it 2) it was mainly for A-10C pilots and anyways unique so people just accepted it.

We don't have a PAK-FA in DCS (not for next 20-30 years likely) but we fly Mig-21Bis, A-10, F/A-18, Harrier, KA-50, Hind, Mi-8, Cobra etc with this grip, so change to get a neutral grip is great feature.

 

Ps. You really got complains from not being able to change labels in TM:WH, just like you could read complains from their gimbal quality etc, as well high praises for the same gimbal quality.

That if you don't hear about them, doesn't mean there ain't any. VKB is like a dream to come true on the simulation market for producing totally top-notch HOTAS as well really doing something amazing by releasing a MCG as that will fill for so many needs in whole simulation market, not just a PAK-FA virtual pilots in DCS...
