The answer might be obvious to some, but while browsing the ED shop page I started to wonder where exactly the screenshot featuring coastlines, mountains, lakes (and clouds) might be located.

I do not recognize it from any of the current or WIP maps. Perhaps the Falklands?

Since Falklands is a 3rd party map and ED mostly just teases their own inhouse stuff, my tip is its the upcoming new free map mariana islands. I will for sure buy that apache since its another helicopter, but i really hoped that the mystery module would have been a redfor plane or another cold war bird.

I believe it is in the Mariana Islands

Probably not, I do not see fit, it is definitely not Marianna, from what i have seen on google earth

Doesn't look like it's the upcoming Cyprus either. In that case I hope it's Scotland or Norway for low level flying!

I checked Norwegian Air Force bases along the coast (that was assuming you could see a runway in the lower left of the picture - which proved incorrect), but could not find any topography matching the screenshot.

It´s not Cyprus or the Marianas and I‘d  say there‘s no such spot on the Falkland Islands as well...

Perhaps it is internal testing terrain 2C, only 20km by 20km built to do render tests on the weather engine.

I just got the new DCS Newsletter E-Mail for today.

It had the word "subject" in the subject field and the word "message" in the text field.

 

Oh ED, go back to your xmas holidays, you're drunk! 😆🍻🤣

I didn't receive this newsletter, and I have always been subscribed to them for years!.

 

So I just checked my account and for some reason the system had un-subscribed me. Anyone else had this? I wonder if it was something to do with a site update on ED's side?

 

Anyway, could someone fill me in on the contents please? as I doubt I will receive this one now...

There is no newsletter, the one sent was by mistake i guess - nothing was posted in the news thread here on the forum:
