Pm sent

Having used both FSSB and Winwing MFSSB, I can say that personally I tune down forces a lot. So if there is no way to keep precision it would be better to use a lower force. Winwing also have a 6kg limit on their unit and I use it at 55% Y+, 45% Y-, 33% Xleft, 28% Xright.

It may be worth emailing Rel4y as well, just from my personal experience -I've ordered some CH upgrades from him in the past. He's a great chap, but does not frequent these forums as much as he possibly should 🙂

Yep, that's the email I used. He sometimes replies on the same day, and sometimes you have to email him again after a coup[le of weeks... Just the way it is, but apart from that I have nothing but good things to say about him  - nice man and excellent products.

Last I heard was in late October 2023. He seemed to be making good progress on the project. I hope he returns - he had some great products in the works.

Did anybody receive the FCC mod? Is the project still alive?

I mailed 2 months ago and no response so far....

I placed my order intent Oct 2023 and exchanged a few DM's with rel4y, but haven't heard about the project since.

No grudge or any hard feelings, but I gave up waiting and moved on and pulled the trigger on a 2nd, or (as became clear later) 3rd hand RS FSSB R3.

Does anyone know if rel4y or anyone else is still making and selling the TM Cougar TQS hall sensor & USB conversion kits?

I tried emailing through mtwsims@tutamail.com - but no reply yet.

I also tried responding to the add on kleinanzeigen.de - but because I'm outside the EU, I can't register to the site to purchase or at least contact the seller.  (Which is super annoying). https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/thrustmaster-cougar-throttle-usb-standalone-hall-gmr-sensor/2196578417-225-3771

The pot meter in my TQS packed in (I already purchased hall sensors for my Cougar FLCS years ago) - and I really don't want to have to buy the new TM Viper TQS... which is lovely, but it's insanely expensive down here in Australia and NZ.

Was that you I answered yesterday or someone else from down under?

I still check emails and try to reply once I have time. If the first mail goes unanswered, then simply shoot me another mail! 🙂

I am very glad that this project exists, and that Marvin's health is okay!

And now for the silly part. I am wondering if the rest of you have any advice on how to communicate with this kind gentleman? I know the email address and have received responses here and there, but for a few years now whenever we get close to a list of sensors/products to send, the emails die out.

What's the right approach, in your experience? 😄 Am I too greedy when there is a list (but never more than five-six products), should I order one by one the sensors?

Sadly my TH Cougar throttle pot has started to go bad, I fear, after 18 years.  At maximum forward deflection the POT is now walking backwards at times, endlessly.  I could try cleaning, or I could finally swap to better sensors.  My halls in my Uber II NXT stick base are awesome, but I never bothered with the halls at the time because the installation for them in the throttle was a bid odd, and Cubpilot has moved on to another existence.

Emailed the OP today.  I hope this project is still alive.
