Silvern Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 The targeting pod is the delay. Same reason the AGM-65 suite is not complete. I don't expect we'll be waiting too much longer for the TPOD to make an appearance, but not this update it seems. TPOD is not needed to use LGBs.
Deano87 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Or Mavericks for that matter. We will most likely get GBUs for buddy lasing and Mavericks before we get TGP. Raven68 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Not sure that our Hornet will get the Mavs tomorrow! Nothing mentioned by Wags about the last days, no explaining video about! I think at least the laser-guided Mavericks would absolutely be worth a video about before releasing! So I´m very skeptical that we´ll be able to fire Mavs from the Hornet before Wags present them in a video description. Don't write it off yet. We still have today for a video and it could still sneak in on the update and Matt could follow up later. I'm almost certain it has happened before. :) Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz; Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB 256-Bit GDDR6; Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 11 Professional HP Reverb G2 /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies; Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

I'm almost certain it has happened before. :) The AIM-120 weren't in the OB patch notes either. There was a mention in the stable update though. But looking at the rather slow release of features for the F-18 i wouldn't get my hopes up to high. Silvern Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Does the IR rework have to be done before we get F & G version? Or are F & G still slated to follow closely behind the E, like it was stated last month?

Revelation Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 This JTAC lasing procedure for destroying one single tank!! Hope we´ll get the targeting pod in near time! Not sure I understand... With the ATFLIR you can only target one target at a time with the 65-E. If you have more than one JTAC you can launch multiple 65-E's by using different laser codes for each JTAC and each 65-E. ED Team Wags Posted November 6, 2018 ED Team Posted November 6, 2018 With the age-65e, when we get tpod do then learn "handing off" seeker info? Yes, the ATFLIR will be able to slave the AGM-65E and provide range data / time to maximum range data. DeathAngel1 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) This JTAC lasing procedure for destroying one single tank!! Hope we´ll get the targeting pod in near time! Not very correct. AGM-65E is heavy version of Maverick, with 136 kg (300 lb) warhead and it is designed to destroy fortifications, bunkers, and other "hard" tagets. So I think that tank is only for example. ED Team NineLine Posted November 6, 2018 ED Team Posted November 6, 2018 Will we be able to load double racks of mavs (maybe the D model at least?) No double racks for the Hornet, it only uses single racks for the Mavericks. The Hornet is capable of carrying three versions of the AGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground missile; a laser guided version (AGM-65E), and two infrared guided versions (AGM-65F and AGM-65G). These missiles are carried on the LAU-117A(V)2/A single rail launcher, which is attached directly to the BRU-32/A racks on wing stations 2, 3, 7, and 8. Eldur Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) You should be happy not disappointed. Happy that ED are one of the few developers that have the integrity not to release something 1/2 assed just for the sake of ticking off a milestone. Definately. Better than Win 10 EA in which every other update frags something and you have to live with some random CMD windows popping up and disappearing every now and then plus the rig just firing up randomly at night even though there are no tasks planned or even updates that are allowed to wake the rig. There will always be some incomplete or even bugged things in DCS, but ED will always work hard to make things better and most importantly, DCS doesn't try to start living on it's own. And I don't want to have the forums full of "you promised things and released them bugged" posts with the usual "it's early access, don't buy if you can't live with that" answers And maybe tomorrow we'll have some new toys... most probably. Can't wait to try out the LMav and see what it's capable of (like doing LOAL with JTAC lasing which would be a cool thing to outrange tossed GBUs) Not sure that our Hornet will get the Mavs tomorrow! Nothing mentioned by Wags about the last days, no explaining video about! I think at least the laser-guided Mavericks would absolutely be worth a video about before releasing!
