Yeah, those are in-engine screenshots, you can clearly see from the textures if nothing else which means there's already some work done to the map. Can't wait to see the official announcement, mainly regarding the map borders, to see what will be included. It could make it for some really interesting scenarios, even if you disregard what happened there IRL as that's still a very hot topic here unfortunately.

Well sure, but it's one thing to read between the lines and another to get an official confirmation on the subject. First can be interpreted in a multiple ways, second is a lot more specific and allows one to be hopeful that the project will actually see the light of the day. Until it's officially announced it's all in the ether, can disappear due to whichever reason and that it.

What's confusing about "DCS: Roadmap (unofficial - NO DISCUSSION HERE)" thread? There are many plans or hints for future development there. And it's unofficial.

One great pic from the Balkans in the late 90s, 2 Croatian Fishbeds and US Navy Tomcat flying low over Rab island in the Adriatic sea. Many islands there, and very very interesting terrain.

We need modern planes and weapons from the 90s for this to be a great map unless they do WW2 or early cold war stuff. Otherwise, it ends up like Falklands missing vital planes like the British version of the Harrier used in the early 80s, the excocet, and the Mirage 4's used by Argentina.

F/A-18C and F-16C, F-14, F-15E, Mirage 2000, MiG-21, MiG-29 were all there during Serb aggression vs former Yugoslav countries. What are you talking about?

I'll certainly be up for some Operation Allied Force scenarios, especially with the upcoming MiG-29A. Not to mention, the region was a mess since Yugoslavia collapsed and had only calmed down somewhat relatively recently (with the EU in the picture, most countries seem to have decided to play nice).
