No, while that's slated for Q1, the reach for the skies video description initially said march.

 

Personally I wouldn't expect anything other than hotfixes until at least march, and realistically probably the end of march or later.

I'm still on 2.5.6.61527 from last week, which the updater says is the current, which is also corroborated by the patch status thread and this link

 

The only patches I would expect now until the end of March (or April, which might be more realistic) are hotfixes, the January update to 2.5.6 was said to be the last major update to 2.5.6 and I presume that any new features coming are going to have to wait until 2.7

 

Personally, I like this approach ED is taking - taking a longer amount of time to get patches out, as when we transitioned from weekly to monthly patches became more stable, at least on my end, so hopefully by ED taking the time they need on 2.7 and being focused on it, we shouldn't run into the issues we were having at the start of 2.5.6.

I'm guessing there will be a couple of hot fixes to move the OB to stable before we get the 2.7 OB.

There was a patch announcement yesterday but according to the changelog it was just for one paid(?) DLC campaign.

 

Maybe they thought releasing a patch just for a campaign isn't worth it.

It was on a forum but then got removed. Patches were for the Rising Squall only.

Ah, fair enough.

 

But yes, I wouldn't expect any new content patches until 2.7 hits at the end of March (or probably later), I'd only expect hot fixes until then.

Yeah the patch (hotfix) is live now , it is a fix for Inverted's Rising Squall Hornet Campaign, which in my case came at a good time.

Really? Mine was just a few megabytes.

Same, mine was around 30 or something, hardly anything compared to usual.

 

It might be that DCS is redownloading files I've modified (I modify default payloads, default countermeasure profiles, templates and loadouts, and even some of the display names, which it overwrites to default each update - Iuckily I have a folder on my user area that I just copy and paste, so it's super easy).

Anyone got some really nasty stuttering since this patch? Got it mostly with A-10C II on Syria and NTTR and with the Mi-8MTV2 on Syria. Nasty as in "once every second for half a second" nasty - gets a bit better after a few minutes or so but...

 

All been fine until patching today. Will check tomorrow again, might have been just me and a hickup maybe.

 

Not noticed any issues, todays small patch only changed campaign files.

Today's patch came at a perfect time for me, as I am about to begin Mission 12 in my Rising Squall Hornet campaign and this patch addresses an issue in it.

The same for me, download was that fast i didn't even had the time to look how big the update was 

 

I guess that says we don't own that campaign - so nothing to patch - but Raven (Elysian Angel) does.

Seems very unusual for ED to release a patch that ONLY contains updates 3rd Party DLC Campaigns...have they ever done that before?

Normally 3rd party content creators say they've passed over "hotfixes/patches" to ED and they're waiting for it to go into the next OB patch...

I suspect it was pretty important, and we have to bear in mind the long period of time till the next update.

I am sure glad they did. I was flying that campaign and had to put it on hold for the fix for Mission 12.

Well it was a minor update, with hardly a change to the version number. And given the next main OB patch is probably still >= a month away.

I have noticed the Su-25's are a lot more fun to have in missions.  They are more aggressive and will score gun kills on me if I am not careful.  At least I hope they have improved, or I'm getting worse. Thx again.

My version on OB has just updated to .3.   Doesn't appear to have updated much if anything.
