joojoo Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Hey to all Does anybody knows if a pushback option will be available in one of the next updates? Thanx
Kang Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Are we even sure that is going to be a thing at all? I mean, I know a lot of people including myself have it high up in the wishlists, but still wondering.
Northstar98 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 Well all the current deck equipment is fully animated in the model viewer, including the connector (?) on the front of the hangar deck tug. Presumably they'll be implemented at a later date. Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. Terrains I own: South Atlantic, Syria, The Channel, SoH/PG, Marianas. System: GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX, AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Corsair Vengeance DDR5-5200 32 GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070S FE, Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB (DCS dedicated) & 2 TB NVMe SSDs, Corsair RM850X 850 W, NZXT H7 Flow, MSI G274CV. Northstar98 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 including the connector (?) on the front of the hangar deck tug, what do u mean by that? If you look at the model for the AS32-32A(?) you can see it has an attachment point on it's front, where it hooks onto I guess a nose wheel or something else that attaches to a nose wheel. In the model viewer it's animated. I put the question mark because I don't know what it's official name is. The thing in the centre of this photo: Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. joojoo Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 but it works just as a static I think its not workable
Northstar98 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 but it works just as a static I think its not workable Yeah I know, but in the model viewer it is fully animated, so is everything else. As in it's fitted to maybe be more than static object - which is what I'm hoping for. Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. mongo52 Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 The pins line up with a hole on each side of the nose gear axle and basically pinch it. It then lifts the nose gear off the ground and than moves the jet around.
Northstar98 Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 The pins line up with a hole on each side of the nose gear axle and basically pinch it. As in it's fitted to maybe be more than static object - which is what I'm hoping for. I'm afraid that's not really proving much. There are plenty of animations for a lot of models that have been done at some point but have never been implemented. Sure would like some sort of working pushback, for sure, though.

Oh it doesn't prove anything but at least it's there. It's the same story with the submarines and animated control surfaces on weapons. We only use that in the Hanger bay. Its specifically designed (why it sits so low) for Hanger Ops. The Flight deck Tow Tractor is A/S32A-49 is used on the roof. Hope this helps. DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!
victorlima01 Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Would personally love to see it, although it's unlikely to happen. They've been quiet for the past few weeks trying to eliminate 2500 bugs without creating another 25K
Sharkku Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 I would be happy just to have the aircraft move backwards on a given command, never mind pushback trucks and animations...
Vanguard Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Can someone from ED confirm or deny if this is in the roadmap please, and whether it would only be SC related or a general feature available on all airfields. No mention of it anywhere.

rayrayblues Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I would be happy just to have the aircraft move backwards on a given command, never mind pushback trucks and animations... +1 Just like the AI do it in F2 view. After taxiing to the right position, select "Parking" or "Pushback" and you automatically back up to the correct spot and the chocks are set. Actually, this mechanism will become necessary when the elevator and lower deck become active. SLAVA UKRAINI MoBo - ASUS 990FX R2 Sabertooth, CPU - AMD FX 9590 @4.7Gb. Jackjack171 Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 This would be interesting to see. We only used to do it for the Legacy Hornets though. We had to use a towbar and tractor for the Rhinos as they were more "sensitive". DO it or Don't, but don't cry about it. Real men don't cry!

BarTzi Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Right now, I'll be happy with how the AI does it now. Land, dont move- hit alt J. This will initiate the same parking sequence used by the AI, but it will move you to third person view. Make sure you land first - because otherwise it will launch your plane for a lap first. Hitting alt+j again will respawn your plane on the deck. Edited July 19, 2020 by BarTzi
