Yeah, that's a no go for me as well. "502, No saved authorization found." and all modules deactivated.

 

So, my little contribution to this is PLEASE, can we have the option to 'CANCEL' the load (other than just click "OK") when authorisation fails, so we aren't forced to go through the whole loading and quitting out every. single. time. this balls up happens? Really painful, adding insult to injury.

 

Edit: Ran a repair, restarted PC, then it worked (no idea if what I did helped, probably had nothing to do with it, but that was the end result)

My comment above is still relevant - please let us 'cancel' (and not run DCS) if auth. fails, to avoid loading in and out of the game.

I'm confused, ED reported not more than a hour ago the Auth. Server was rebooted and is now fixed, if thats ture how is that I'm like the other above me are still getting the 502 error? This for me has been since Yesterday 06/08/23.

The problem is was back.
I was able to update OB to the latest version yesterday, and this morning I played online,
Trying to play tonight and it was nightmare time again. Login failed and I could only fly Tf-51D and Su-25T.
DCS World OB version: Multithread Preview 2.8.6.41066
Trying to launch the OB Single-Thread: Oops there is a new update. So I update to 2.8.6.41066.1 and oh joy, OB loads ok, and the MT also.
Hopefully it will stay this way!

Piracy, most likely. But they could easily generate a signed key using your hardware that authorizes those modules on that physical device and save that for offline mode. People who update hardware at the exact time the auth server dies would be out of luck, but the vast majority of people would be able to play.

yep, working for me and I'm able to download the Sinai module now.

1) loaded perfect -> install Sinai.

2) Update ->Error -> NO modules at all.

3) reload = all modules good, no multiplayer!!!

Wrote the original - talked to the wife for 10 minutes and then hit save.

Obviously in that time everything came back up!!

I watched Bignewy's youtube for doing the update and repair from the bin folder. The same instructions were on the FAQ paq under authorization problems.

 Just get the syntax correct and it fixed the problem.

are you sure it was an error 500 issue? which is pc time and date specifically. 

Maybe you had a different auth issue, sometimes the steam API needs to be refreshed with linking again. 

either way glad you have resolved it.
