  • Associate launched TWS AIM-54 with a track rather than object; to disambiguate multiple tracks with the same target object.
  • Internal work on missile API abstraction layer for future API changes.
  • Fixed JESTER staying in TWS-A with inflight missiles but no launched TWS tracks.

 

The first point means that we "connect" a launched AIM54 in TWS with a track, rather than the unit, so it doesnt get confused if the AWG-9 assigns multiple tracks to the same unit. (this is a very simplistic explanation, but should visualize what is meant). @gyrovague can correct me if I am wrong.

The second point means that we have laid some ground work in the code for future API changes to affect the phoenix, such as maybe utilizing the new and improved flight model for missiles.

The third point means that Jester wont prevent you from switching back to TWS-M and trying to force TWS-A like a maniac. The missiles in DCS stay sometimes in the air longer as usual or simply, if a missile is still flying, Jester thought you gotta be in TWS-A, now we taught him, that that's true only, if that missile is launched at a track in TWS, and not just floating in the air...

Nah, what I said is not realistic and is a bug. It does feel like an on off switch, but should change pitch with RPM

There is actually something good about the new Two-Face skin.

The mirroring on the Jolly Rogers skull is gone.

I think the black half can be fixed until next patch. So no worries.

 

Thanks to HB for correcting also mirroring issues on Diamondbacks and Grim Reapers livery.

And also massive thanks for my favourite detail of the complete patch: the hog on red rippers drop tank.

 

But it seems that the skull on "last Ride" livery is still mirrored. It was mentioned in the changelog that this will be corrected, so maybe we have here also a damaged file?

Another thing I noticed is that new "idle whine" sound on the 14A that is simply static and cuts out with AB lightoff. Either make it dynamic and make it asjust pitch/frequency with engine RPM and airspeed or remove it as it really seems out of place at the moment.

I doubt that the actual engine whine could be heard inside the cockpit with canopy closed with all that AC etc.

Well, it will be heard idling on the ground and change in pitch as you spool up the RPM but will blend in with the airflow over the canopy and airfame as you speed up. Currently it is literally one static sound playing in all conditions but AB.

found a bug , if aircraft is in A/A mode with ACM mode(such as PAL) , and switch to A/G , search diamond Will not disappear and bomb fall line don't displayed on HUD . Use target designate switch UP/DN disengage ACM mode , search diamond will disappear but bomb fall line still won't present on HUD .

i selected Synchronize Controls on Mission Start but it doesn't work for f-14 , test with AFCS Roll Stabilisation On, else Off / AFCS Yaw Stabilisation On, else Off , test equipment is warthog throttle and binding key is RDR ALTM(NRM/DIS) and AUTOPILOT(PATH and ALT/HDG)

 

[EDIT]:will happed when Takeoff from parking hot/respawn in the air . synchronize Controls as normal when in cold .dcs.log

It's too static, I mean, it doesn't change with RPM and make you feel like you are on the ground at the parking stand even if you are flying in MIL Power at 500 Kts.

Please fix it or remove it 😉

 

If I can delete it, let me know how to do it because it's really annoying.

Tested all morning , happy to see INS is fully work , again . Even human RIO INS align still can't load WP from ME ...

1. INS will cool down with turn WCS switch to OFF , but it should be cooling down with NAV MODE switch in OFF position IIRC?

TWS and PD mode bug , I tested tracking target in TWS-A -> break lock back to PD search -> then PDSTT lock target -> take one more shot -> the first 54 re-guided to target . And also in fire the missile in PDSTT , break lock , then TWS-A , take one more shot for locked target befor , frist missile will re-guided to target same as above .

Its a static whine. It stays one tone the whole time. you can hear the old engine noise moving up and down underneath the whine. I dont mind the louder intake whine but it doesnt ever change pitch which gives me a headache after 10 minutes. It sounds like you're sitting on the ground, canopy open with one engine running idle.

at 30-35K you can go Mach 2 fairly easily. Give it some time.

Also, Dive into it. climb to 45k and dive to 30k while accelerating. You have to think of it like getting on a step. Accelerating is more work than staying that speed.
