BiG THANKS! for the DCS: Marianas, ED!

WOW! I really like this site but somehow I've been having some problems to manage and follow the forums.

I don't know if that's the reason but, I wasn't aware of this map, its development, news or anything and it is really really big surprise to me! It just suddenly came from nowhere!  So, I'm in shock!

Yes thanks Ed - a few performance issues to sort of course but an interesting new scenario and of course it's free

 

Out of interest, what is the new tech used for this map? How does it manifest itself in the map?

I landed with the Spit and the P47D on the islands in a superb slightly foggy atmosphere

Thanks for nothing. It is not possible to fly over the map.
In the other maps I fly butter but in this slideshow.
I was waiting for this map to buy the F-16 but it's not worth the investment

Thanks ED for providing a free map.  I know it needs some work for FPS issues, but it has been out for about 26 so keep doing the good work!!!

Absolutely outstanding! There is no excuse now, Vietnam can be done!  First flight below in the Huey with PIMAX VR.  FPS in VR was not terrible at all.  Used flat shadows as suggested by the grim reapers, disable the preview window in OBS, and made sure I was running on latest graphics drivers and it was a great flight.  Thanks for an outstanding map.  Cannot wait to support you gents on your future endeavors for all of us.

Nooo, not yet. Vietnam is know for elephant grass taller then a person and triple canopy jungle so thick you cant see the sky from the ground which would take you an hour to walk the length of a football field. A Vietnam map they could not yet do justice. One day but not yet.

The map looks gorgeous. Beautiful coastline etc. Unfortunately on my pc (in VR) it is a low fps, stutterfest. Unplayable. For reference in Nevada with same settings I can fly down the strip at low level and it is buttery smooth. 

 

I look forward to using this map at a later date when my hardware catches up.

 

My pc i7 9700, 2700 super, 32 gb ram, Reverb G2.
