Pizzicato Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 This is an awesome addition. Didn't actually realise how much I needed this until I saw it in action. Can't wait to start playing around with it. 1 i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
Hawkeye_UK Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 If only this was available on the F10 Map for MP. I really see the potential in this obviously great for static mission planning but surely its best use is for Tac Commanders in real time re FLOTS? Please please can you pass onto the dev's that this is pushed though to the live F10 map? 4 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DCS & BMS F4E | F14B | AV-8B | F15E | F18C | F16C | F5E | F86 | A10C | JF17 | Viggen |M2000 | F1 | L-39 | C101 | Mig15 | Mig21 | Mig29 | SU27 | SU33 | F15C | AH64 | MI8 | Mi24 | Huey | KA50 | Gazelle | CH47 | OH58D | P47 | P51 | BF109 | FW190A/D | Spitfire | Mossie | CA | Persian Gulf | Nevada | Normandy | Channel | Syria | South Atlantic | Sinai | Kola | Afgan | Iraq Liquid Cooled ROG 690 13700K @ 5.9Ghz | RTX3090 FTW Ultra | 64GB DDR4 3600 MHz | 2x2TB SSD m2 Samsung 980/990 | Pimax Crystal/Reverb G2 | MFG Crosswinds | Virpil T50/CM3 | Winwing & Cougar MFD's | Buddyfox UFC | Winwing TOP & CP | Jetseat

I think what Hawkeye is asking for is live annotation, so people can dynamically update the map for other players during the mission (versus it being "baked in" from the start). 1 i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
JimBo* Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 hoping i can link this to triggers... once a area is captured or occupied i can make it so the lines and such change updating the map to the current situation. 3

This is already possible via scripting and is also built into the excellent "GameMaster" script by Cake/Sorbus. You can type stuff into map marks and make it all happen. In MP, in realtime. Have fun. fargo007 Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Very similar. These functions got exposed to scripters in the API before they had ME controls. An example attached. Have fun. Don't suck. Kill bad guys. https://discord.gg/blacksharkden/

Topper81 Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 (edited) Will this marks also be visible on some hsi's (e.g. Hornet) or in the apaches tsd? And / or in the kneeboard map's? Edited October 17, 2021 by Topper81

This is for ME/Planner/F10 map usage. 1 1 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
ED Team NineLine Posted October 21, 2021 Author ED Team Posted October 21, 2021 Check the layer its on, it maybe all on Author by default? Move what you want on specific coalitions to that coalitions layer or common for all. 3 Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Nealius Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Is there a delete function? Being a clutz I'm finding myself messing up the drawings (or just weird stuff like the segment tool making endless segments). DEL key and the delete icon don't seem to function. I rewatched Wags' tutorial but, unless I've missed it, he didn't mention a delete function. Is there one?

Click on the Object or Text Box on the map (if selected you will see tiny white square/box on the Object or Text Box), then hit your DELETE key on your keyboard. HC_Official Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 a tutorial from Wags / ED would be handy for this feature ... rather than having to guess this stuff No more pre-orders Click here for tutorials for using Virpil Hardware and Software Click here for Virpil Flight equipment dimensions and pictures. .

Thanks that worked this time. I must have been clicking outside the hitbox to select the object.
Octuplefire Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Any way of having these linked to triggers to show/hide or is that something for the wish list thread? 2 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HC_Official Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 You can do this already with the DCS scripting engine or the easier way use MOOSE No more pre-orders Click here for tutorials for using Virpil Hardware and Software Click here for Virpil Flight equipment dimensions and pictures. .
TheTrooper Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Just a follow up from what Octuplefire was asking. Does anyone have any examples of a script on how to show/hide an object? It would be great to show or hise them when needed. 1 ----------------------------------------------- Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-6700 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache | 32GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G |SSD 1TB 970 EVO Plus M.2
