Yes, but that was a few years ago and things may have changed. I don't remember another one offering that since.

But if a pre-order is offered, I will buy it within five minutes of finding out.

24 more days, If they plan on releasing a preorder for even 2 weeks, we should be seeing it within 10 days.

 

Maybe they plan on just dropping it without all the hype they used for the 14? Who knows....I feel glued to the forums hoping for just ANY news regarding it

I'm wondering if the possible release of other modules that are submitted before the F-4 (say, for example, the F-15E, for which a lot of content is coming out lately) could definitely delay the Phantom to next year; I seem to recall that ED said they would never release two modules at the same time.

I'm more excited about the F4 than the F15. I hope that at least one bulletin comes out to get an idea of the state of development of F4.

Oh, I am, too, I won't be buying the F-15E, I was just wondering if, beside the development time of the Phantom, other external factors could sc..w us for a 2022 release.

Then why make the BIG reveal saying that the F-4 would be released in 2022? The F-15E was in the pipeline already and ED had to have known that it was planned for release this year..If what you say is the case then we were being lied to from the very start .... I would hope and believe that all parties involved would have better sense and higher ethics than that....

I will purchase both, unless they come out without an initial price discount, like the recent MB.339 .. in that case I would still purchase both, but wait until they are on sale (even if a year after introduction, as I still have plenty of DCS Modules to learn. 🙂

As cobra said, the war in Ukraine hit them hard and they lost a lot of development time, as well as person issues he's had to deal with. 

 

Ims sure they intended for and planned for a 2022 release and probably still are, but with world events it's becoming harder to reach that goal if not impossible.

 

I get it, life happens, but I just wish we could have some news on the subject. If it's unlikely, but possible to release in 2022....tell us sooner rather than midnight of New Years, you know?

 

I'd rather they rip the band-aid off now and perhaps surprise us with a release this year than wait to the very end to tell us something we all suspect

Because that was their plan, originally. Plans are always changed by events in real life.

Yes, the F-15E was in the pipeline already, but you're assuming that there already was a series of dates set in stone from the beginning. I don't really think it works like that: again, everyone have probably planned for a 2022 release, then life, as always, changed those plans. Nobody lied.

Besides, I merely mused about what could happen if the F-15E was ready to release before the end of the year, since I recall reading somewhere that ED never release two new modules at the same time. In any case, it's just speculation based on the amount of pictures and videos Razbam is putting out lately, maybe the SE is still a long time coming.

Mine was just a musing, not a statement of truth, and I thought that was clear, from the phrasing. If it wasn't, well, sorry I got you guys all worked up, I hope now it's clear what I meant.

Well the F-15 won't be this year. Razbam devs basically confirmed it in their discord if I recall.

We can of course speculate and of course hope that ED have given the December release to the F-4 instead of the F-15. But on the other hand it is confirmed that the F-15 is in being tested by ED so it is inbound for release soon. The F-4 is being kept under a tight lid, but who knows maybe all the testers have been sworn into secrecy. But even though how much I love to speculate and hope I highly doubt that we won't see the F-4 until Q1 23. If it is not out by Q2, I will be genuinely disappointed

Dawn of the 11th day, 20 days remain.

 

Nearly a month after Cobra said the phantom was nearly finished. 

 

I can guarantee it's releasing this year, because I'm going on vacation from the 23-30th....
