Was about to say, just finished the change log, no VR stuff at all. And no Spitfire cooling fixes either.

I thought someone mentioned Mission Editor changes coming in 2.8. Other than the new weather and country tab - there is no mention of anything else for the mission editor - did these get pulled for later @BIGNEWY?

The VR optimization was mentioned in the newsletter on 14th October as following:

"The Weather System includes optimization for VR, and we are confident that this will result in a more stable and smooth experience."

- Rain on the canopy in VR
- New FPS counter

It's been the map used for testing improved lighting since 2.5.6 first released and has had drastically improved lighting compared to all other maps since. 2.8 is just continuing the trend.

Well, DCS runs far worse, at least on VR, and i think i know why, shadows are broken.

I was flying with terrain shadows on flat, not it looks like if you select flat or off it works as default and default work as off. Another thing is terrain objects render through objects.

Secondary shadows makes no difference.

And, if you ask me, clouds on vr looks worse now
