I'm surprised that on a project like this, there's no backup.

To err is human. We‘ve all been there.

I had to rewrite half of my master thesis from memory few days before due date…. 🥲 (25 y ago)

the last 3D was lost we have old 3D that will have to be reworked but it will take time...
Since then we have made arrangements for backups.

If the cause was an electric power surge then yes, you can have more than one drive affected. For that reason I rely on Cloud Storage for my backup needs, plus some cross-backups among the three computers of my household.

Well, the good news is that the module is still alive.  Being one of the my favorite things to fly (ok, all my favorites are mods, but that is another story) I am happy that things will happen, even if it takes time.

I love the Bronco but I am having one annoying problem:
When I taxi all three wheels violently shudder up and down until lift off. This has nothing to do with their suspension - it is clearly a bug of some type.
Has anyone else had this problem?   Is there a fix?
Regards,

Mich.

Its a known bug.  Doesn't look to be fixed anytime soon.  Its discussed early in the thread I think when the first update came out if you want to look back at the earlier pages.

I really hope you guys find a way to keep the mod alive.  Video I shot today over our Dynamic Vietnam mission with the OV-10.  She is much more appreciated than you know and a lot of people would hate to see her disappear, especially they guys on my server.  Thanks for the hard work earlier on into this mod.  Please do not abandoned it if possible, it is an iconic aircraft with a longer and larger history than most people know!

This is still a wonderful plane. I made a mission similar with the one in the movie above just yesterday and it was awesome!
Updates would be appreciated!

Does this mean there might be a consideration to go back to it?  Out of curiosity, would you be able to do it faster if there was a 3D model generated from photogrammetry?  Say from a museum OV-10?

we do not plan to do a rework with a 3D scan. The Alphajet will be and so will future mods.

Appreciate the feedback.  I take it the OV-10 will be done essentially by hand then? Looks great the way it was done in the past.  What long term plans are you thinking of with it?  I know you said over a year out.

There are IT-forensic services that can recover data from failing drives. I‘m sure the community would help out with covering the costs.

I was thinking exactly this!

Did a fam flight with the guys over Saipan this morning and conducted a joint effort in the Cayuse and Bronco attacking 2 Sam sites on Tinian.  Good times! We are working on how we would like to start setting up the island to the North once we finish with Guam.  The Sam sites obviously need AAA, but they are active.  Zipper climbed a little to high when we went to tour Saipan and got smoked off the end of the runway.  We kept that out of the video.  We stayed NAP of the earth and came in over the trees to get in under the radar and stay inside its no shoot zone.

Im really loving this mod..  easy to use, simple and fun to fly..

Is there any rocket/bomb depression tables for the sight? guns seem spot on but i was doing some attack with the heavy rockets and they seemed to fly like almost a full sight above the stock center...

@SparrowLT check out the training missions, they cover each of the different weapons. This is off the top of my head so I might be off, I'm thinking that Rockets are 19 mils, and Bombs were around 10 mils. The mission goes over your dive angle. They are fun missions as it has a scrip that will give you range scores.

Would like to make a question to developers.. As is an old plane, it is possible to add some kind of force feedback efects to the bronco, It would be a great improvement. I owns a old sidewinder ffb2 and it is a great inmersion fly f4 phantom or f14. Don't know if is easy or not.

Thanks in advance and keep the great work.

Apparently the flickering wheels on the pan are a known issue. It's a real shame, it's the perfect mod aside from this. It would be great if they could revisit the bronco and resolve this long standing bug.

Agreed, but they cannot because the mod was lost in a software crash of some sort.  They still have the 3D model I believe and intend on returning to the mod after they complete the project/s they are working on.  Sounds like it might be a while before we see work on her again.  I would love to see a little more functionality when they do to include troop transport/drops and more functionality in the radios and avionics similar to the A-4 mod.
