Main question I have is - will it be possible to have different weather conditions in different parts of the map, or is it just the general theme that will change slightly depending on the wind etc over the entirety of the map? What we really need is the ability to have totally different weather conditions in different parts of the map, and have them change. And most importantly (which is driving lots of us insane I'm sure) to have different winds in different parts of the map. I should not be punished for having 30kts of wind i nthe middle of the desert just because I want to have 30kts in the middle of the sea for my carrier...

I guess big patches of different weather rolling through the map. Curious about how many settings and sliders will be available.

Different weather cells are planned, but we do not have a timeline on when they will be added.

Oh I agree. There’s no reason not to use it in the maps we have. I was trying to undercut those arguments before they were made.

The La-7 is a nice surprise.
Will it have a damage-model comparable to the other warbirds? I'm asking because the I-16 doesn't have one still - if i'm not mistaken.

Since two modules (3rd party) have the mach cone. Can we expect it on ED modules too with this update? 🥺

Is a "true" weather simulation also still planned for later? I mean something like the legacy dynamic weather with high/low pressure area simulation (but improved of course, because the legacy model was a bit rubbish)?

It will be up to that dev, I hope so so that its more on an equal playing field with other Warbirds, but best to ask that dev.

Is the weather update expected to resolve the cloud shimmer in VR?

It might be a good idea for ED to mandate the use of the advanced damage model to maintain consistency across the platform.

My question is does this mean we'll see an improvement on performance over all or will the dynamics of the weather cause system fatigue?
