I was thinking much closer to our south Atlantic map.  I know some don’t rate it, but I think that it’s really good

Hornet and Viper jets collectively say, "Um, Um, Um, good 👍. "  When the Kola Map is available to us as an early-release, we will have lots of fun.

Hopefully, we will have early-release access before Christmas 2023.

    Q: Is Kallax, F21 on the map? A: It is an airport in Sweden with our code name ESPA. It is not in our current early release schedule. However, we plan to add it after the initial release.

    Q: Will Bodo include the mountain hangers? A:Yes, but not all of them will be used as spawning points. Some of them will have closed doors.

    Q: Will Kiruna's new or old centrum be modeled? A: Kiruna is a city in Sweden close to the airport with our code name ESNQ. According to our current release schedule the city and the airport will be included in the early release product. However, the plan might change.

    Q: Do the devs know how many % of the map is complete? A: Around 40% of the early release product is done.

    Q: Will we get the Jokkmokk road base? A: Jokkmokk is a city in Sweden close to the airport with our code name ESNJ. According to our current release schedule the city and the airport will be included in the early release product, though this might change.

    Q: I hope we get a lot of the relevant infrastructure especially on the Russian side like power stations, railways and bunkers. A: We are adding as many relevant infrastructure POIs as we can. The Russian region is the biggest priority at the moment.

Borealis should be a doddle and will be ready in about a fortnight.

 

Sure. Let's add a database of historic solar activity for the DCS weather system to reference against. That should should take less than 5 minutes. 😉

With the mountain hangars, wouldn't it be better if all of them were available as spawn points? And have doors open/close as they do now with the hardened aircraft shelters on the Caucasus map? Just wondering what the rationale is for having some available but not others.

I wondered about this, as they are talking about «mountain hangars» and not the hardened aircraft shelters. Bodø has traditional large maintenance hangars, but there is also a large underground hangar complex called «anlegg 96». The complex can fit a whole squadron of aircrafts and was intentionaly designed, during the cold war, to withstand nuclear attacks.
