You have to choose "nothing" from the preset menu. Then you get the options for cloud density, thickness, etc. in the panel on the right side.

Glad I found this Weather Mod today.. Better late than never! 

Maybe many others will get a chance to enjoy the extra Cloud Types in this mod while ED contines work on their list of tasks for 2024.

- High level cirro clouds are back with cirrostratus and cirrocumulus presets!
- 10 new cloud presets added
- Many tweaks and adjustments to existing presets

The amount of time youve spent starting DCS, checking, closing, making edits and then restarting to achieve these presets must be phenomenal!

It was very tedious for sure, but I'm happy with the results. I gave up on modding the shader generated cirrus layer for now. The new high level cirro presets blend nicely with the cirrus layer.

I must congratulate you Bandit for yet another amazing update to an already fantastic mod, I'm reasonably well known on the DCS FB community group and have plugged your weather mod as much as possible, a lot of people don't seem to know about it which is a real shame imho.

Thanks for all the artistic effort that you must put into this mod and for all the spare time you spend producing such an awesome mod.

Thanks Rob, I appreciate that. While we don't have true dynamic weather yet at least we have great looking clouds. I'll try to share more screenshots and maybe produce a cinematic video to put out there. I hope people will enjoy the mod as much as I am.

@Eagle Dynamics thanks in advance for monitoring this thread. Hope the hundreads of hours probably put into this mod will shave off a few days of your developers efforts in making it part of the Core Game files. Cheers.

1/27/2024 - Updated to version 6

- Fixed small issues in several presets
- Reworked "Scattered Showers 5" preset. Looks much better now
- Minor adjustments to "Low Level Stratus 5" and "Nimbostratus with heavy rain". Clouds have a slightly softer look now.

I'd hazard I guess it's because this thread is confusingly "hidden" in util/program mods section of the forum where it doesn't belong, not to mention a section which is not visited by majority of DCS players in the first place. 

I've been wasting waaaay too much time on browsing ED forum for many years and I'm various mods user, but even I stumbled upon this thread only recently and purely by accident. I'm super glad I did, because these extra presets are awesome, but the mod is just neither "visible" nor easy to find.

I agree, it's kind of buried in here and hard to find. The only other sub-forum it fits in is Texture/Map Mods. Maybe move it to the main DCS Modding forum?

Which weather combos are your favourite ones?

Selecting none, height 2500 m, thickness 2500 m and density 3-4 brings awesome experience. 

Once I managed to make 2-layer altocumulus or stratus type 3 or 4 and never before had such feeling of depth. Bandit mate, outstanding job!

A high pressure inversion trapping dust and moisture below, while putting a cap on vertical development resulting in spread out.

Scattered 2 – Base at 5000, Fog - Visibility at 100000, Fog - Thickness at 6000

Incredible! Haven't seen dust and clouds modeled like this in DCS before. this mod is great!

I'm testing out some HD cirrus textures for the next update. The current shader generated cirrus layer has this annoying behavior where the cirrus clouds fade in and out every 3 minutes or so. The good news is I've figured out how to increase that. Right now I have it extended to 15 minutes. The only downside is that its another 15 minutes before the next cirrus layer fades in. Still trying to adjust that.

I'd be thrilled if they included my presets. ED normally isn't too keen on adding user made content to the sim though.
