No, you have your ice cream. Many others may not. Your playstyle might be unaffected by the lack of an update at the moment, others might be at a point where they are temporarily "grounded" in DCS. 

For example: I myself am not playing DCS at the moment, due to a lack of content that I haven't already played to death, and when I tried to re-play a campaign (that I played a dozen times already), I get game crashes (the issue has been fixed "internally" for over a month now. The F-4 ATM is back in the virtual hangar due to performance issues.

Thankfully, I have a lot more things in life that keep me busy and entertained, so I'm not angry or even overly disappointed.

But I can muster enough empathy for those who may be more "dependent" on DCS for their escapism. 

In other words: I am slightly annoyed at the posters who are annoyed that people are annoyed about the delay, while being annoyed at those posters who are overly dramatic in their expression of their annoyance.

Just an idea ED :
- Do what you need to prepare the update.
- Run the various tests until you have validated and confirmed that you are ready for release.
- And then you can announce an update which will be released 7 days later.

So no delay, pressure-free way of working for those who work and no frustration for customers

How much testing does DCS do on patches before announcing their release date, it seems they make fixes without fully testing, then set them aside until the date they want to release them. They have beta tester, why are patch issue mostly being found the day of or just before release?  Just a question. Don't announce release date unless you are sure it's ready to be released.  To many irons in the fire.  TC

testing is extensive, and constantly being done, if issues are found we have to make choices, sometimes that choice is best to delay.

Every software development product is unreleasable when it's started, and during virtually every phase when under development while myriad dependencies are not yet resolved.

One thing is to be frustrated over delays.
One can still appreciate the work and the product. But we paid for it.
Our money have allready spoken. Allthough I myself have on many occations praised their work.

Another thing to be thankful for delays. That is just absurd.

I get them type of people at work that no matter how bad the company is, even if they was for the chopping block they still bum management all day long and think its the best thing since sliced bread Hahahaha

From my point of view, the underlying problem is that ED has no competition, it is the only one on the market for semi-realistic combat flight simulators.

In other types of markets where there is competition and the actors make an effort not to look bad with their clients, (who are the ones who feed them) this type of deficiencies (constant postponements) make them fall to the basement of the market, leaving them, as is now the case, without any credibility, I like to compare ED's behavior with really professional companies, ED always loses, always.

That is to say that we, the clients, have to wait and nothing more, if you don't like it you put up with it (take the dog to the park, start playing and keep quiet) because you have no other option, it is already known that when ED proposes a date you will be a silly if you believe him, ED NEVER keeps his promises or his dates.

But it's better to wait until the patch is good and doesn't break anything, of course it does, but in the end every patch ED release breaks something else, doesn't it? But I repeat, if you don't have it ready, don't publish it.
