Does not, DCS_updater.exe just does an authorization check and takes me into the game UI.

Yes, I too am affected by this bug. I own FC3 and did not upgrade to FC2024. It tried to reinstall itself but after a restart, I get the same message. I hope that a hotfix would be available soon?

Does the module manager on your end see the individual aircraft on the 'available' tab? (the one where you prompt it to install.)
 

 

Yes they appeared in available as well.  I installed them... again?  They now show up as installed in the new launcher, but I still get authorization error.  Great suggestion though Czar!nullnull

Yeah, it is very likely a bug on EDs end.

Different authorization files don't make sense because mine are good, the only difference is that I purchased the aircraft one by one and not via the FC3 pack.

It also clearly states that if you own FC3 you do not need to pusrchase FC3 again.

Can the FC3 pack file path be different than the current modules so that's causing authentication issues?

1-Manually delete the FC3 folder under DCS World/Mods/aircraft if there is any thing like that.
2-Reinstall the Flamming Cliffs aircraft under the new format.

Maybe the reason are where the files are now located and the authenticator is denying authentication.

My FC3/2024 planes were always on separated folders under Mods/aircraft. Might be worth a look.

If you guys have a FC3 folder contained inside 'aircraft' folder, containing all the FC3 content, that might be the issue. I don't know for sure if that's the case.

I'm very confused, as an owner of FC3 which is now disabled. I have to purchase FC3 2024 at $59.99?

Why is my FC3 disabled? Do I have to downgrade my DCS World to play this content I have owned for years?

no you don't just wait a fix is coming  . just a  glitch at ed it happens they know an are working on it

i was able to get into game. my first try, i had to enable the new modules and terrain. then game reset, did the additional files download. then i purchased the FC 4 for $9.99. closed and reopened DCS. enabled FC4. did the additional files download. all set. no errors or issues noted.

Just to be clear, what do you mean by "game reset." I only know of repair at this point.
