Win11Pro, Intel Core i9-14900K @6.315 GHz watercooled stable 96GB, on ROG Strix Z790-A, using RTX 4090 with seperate watercooling, accessing 4x 4TB m.2 dcs.log Launched Multiplayer DCS (single thread b/c MT crashes regularly on this CPU), ran long enough to record AWACS and tankers on NTTR map, exited successfully. Ran Replay and crashed. Never got past loading screen. Edited April 25, 2024 by =Mac= The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
ThaVapor Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 (edited) Good day everyone! Every time I try to replay a multiplayer track, DCS will crash. Sometimes it will take me to the submit a crash report, but after loading 50% of the way, DCS will hard crash and I'm back at the desktop. I was using the multi-thread version. Would this have anything to do with my graphics card (AMD 6700XT)? The reason I'm asking that is because my friend has an Nvidia card and he's able to play tracks just fine - within the multi-thread version. Zone5 Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 Actually it is a single player track with one player aircraft and one AI (both F-4s). It is a formation training mission, with a script that keeps track of whether you are in formation or not, and another to generate ATIS at Creech AFB. 11 way points in all. That's it.

The mission file itself also has a ton of (255) ATIS sound files that may not necessarily be required as you don't ATIS files for any maps other than the one you are flying in. No, it was created for 2.9.7.59074, which is the 14 AUG patch, which is also where I was trying to play it. Nealius Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Since the latest update I've had a couple issues with replay tracks (single-player missions, but with client slots) failing to load, getting hung up on "Terrain Init: 1, vti." I've had it happen on Syria with the Hornet, and Kola with the Phantom. The missions work fine, it only freezes when loading a replay track. I've tried removing mods and updating graphics drivers, no change. Spotted this interesting line in the log: Quote 2024-09-04 09:13:04.056 ERROR Dispatcher (Main): Unexpected end of track fiber track/action : idx = 1678245888, time = 0.009103, missing at least 1799784879 bytes What doesn't make sense is that I can fly the mission one day, save the track, the track works fine. Then the next day fly the same mission, do the same task, save the replay track, and that one is broken. I'm attaching two tracks. "F4-Vidsel" is the one that hangs, "M82-Vidsel" is the one that doesn't. The only difference between the two is the addition of an AI MiG-19. M82-Vidsel F4-Vidsel

Looks like it may be too large? 1,799,784,879 is 1.7 billion bytes = 1.7 GB. Is the track long in duration and many units? Since I fly VR and also because one is usually quite busy during the actual session, I thought I could use the replay function to get some nice shots. Now I figured, that apparently tracks are automatically saved for the multiplayer sessions on my own machine....but for whatever reason I encountered multiple of those tracks not to have any client aircraft spawn. WTF??? Alright then...I just ask the guys who manage the servers for the server track right? Nope. When I try to launch a server track, I simply get a "Mission Load Failed" massege. I mean really ED..this can´t be that hard to get working. Also, since DCS apparenlty realizes, that loading the mission failed, can I ESC out of that screen? Noooooo. So I tried that and one track that wouldn‘t want to load now loaded without getting hung at that point. I didn‘t do any more testing though… EDIT: Never mind...it just happened again. Phantom711 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 (edited) Just wanna bumb this. I did some further testing and out of the like 20 MP tracks my own machine had created, 2 actually work. I mean TWO....really? On most of them nobody spawns...not even myself. Some have an error, where the loading stalls at "Terrain init: 1, vti" and then there is a couple of the more recent ones with the "Mission Load Fail " message. Pretty sad... One more interesting fact is, that the problem seems to reside on the "creating side" of the track. We had a mission last Thursday and my own track of that mission comes up with "Mission Load Fail", but one other guy sent me his replay and that works. Rebel28 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 What I have found is that if you are on a server and you exit to desktop the track will not work. You must exit server first then exit the game. Doing this and all my tracks now work. Give it a try and see if it works for you.
