If one were to get a kickstarter fund going to put cash in the hands of Razbam, Leatherneck, etc - someone competent - to develop a right & proper A-6E Intruder simulation for DCS, who'd pitch in? This is a seriously significant aircraft in US Naval history and a landmark close attack aircraft in many regards for military aviation as a whole, and has never been properly represented to date in ANY sim, aside from token bits on FSX, etc. This was THE premier all-weather/anytime/carried more bombs than God aircraft that made the difference from land or sea. Who's interested? I got pointed in the direction of this post by a member of the community. Just for the record VEAO will never do kickstarter nor accept funds from a social fund raising project towards an aircraft. I can appreciate the desire in the community to get "their" plane in dcs but we can't do everything ;) As for the other devs I don't know I can only speak for VEAO. Besides we have enough on our roadmap without adding more to it! Pman

I hope to get plenty from here I don't think a petition is needed. ED has a roadmap and I'd guess they are pretty much working to capacity with the current amount of projects. From what I've seen, they listen to the community and see what they want, and ofc they would do good on delivering what their customers want to have. Personally, I'd really like to have the F-16 in DCS. But for now, I'm looking forward to the Hornet. After that, a russian high fidelity fighter is something that would imho be more important than a second western multirole fighter. A Su27 or perhaps even better a Su33 would be a great addition

Boomer20 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 While I voted for the F/A-18. What I would really like at the moment is a Harrier (either AV8B or GR. series). Even if it was an AI-only initially and we got an object like a FARP that can designate a piece of land as a dirt strip it would be really cool. I reckon the Harrier would be well suited to the mountains of the Georgia theatre. I know RAZBAM are doing a Harrier and VEAO are doing a Sea Harrier but I imagine there a while off. One can dream though.

vicx Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I know this isn't the thread but just a note. It is understood that you can't do DCS level simulation of modern aircraft due to the SECRETS. That doesn't mean we can't have 6DOF FC3 F-35 and MIG-35 with fully dynamic flight models and approximated and simplified other systems. It is OK for me to want this. I'll take a Raptor and a Falcon pls.
