Lisba Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Win 8.1 x64 Hi, Im trying to run DCS A10C on Win 8.1 64bits but when I clicked the .exe not run. I have the 1.1.0.9 version (CD version), I need a patch? Or download from the official page and use mi serial? I want to run from win 8.1 x64. Thanks. PD: I fly this simulator since March 2013 but with xp 32bits, now I have win 8.1 x64 and can´t run.
Quax456 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Just go download and install DCS World and the A10C Module for NO extra fee. The Old 1.1.0.9 is extremly obsolete...... Hey, as Quax456 already said just download it from ED - via the website or in the module manager and it should work perfectly fine. Here is the link to the website where you can find the download: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/warthog/ >> DCS liveries by golani79 <<
agentdarnell Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Currently on Win 7 ultimate 64bit. Once windows 10 is released I will probably move to that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Darkenmass Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Is it possible ? Guys is it possible ? I run DCS on a brand new computer: Windows 8.1, Motherboard MSI H97 Gaming 3, GPU MSI GTX 980, i5 , 8 GB RAM, and yet if i look at cluster bombs explosions i got a bad frame rate drop....is it DCS or is it me ? And i don't even put the setup to maximum; i have no civ traffic, medium water, no trees shadows, no clutter/bushes, antialiasing to 4X....and the rest to max. I don't know what to think. :helpsmilie:
GeorgeLKMT Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It's DCS. It's running on ancient engine and some effects are broken like that, especially cluster bombs you mentioned. We'll hopefully get some new effects with 2.0 update soon, although it's probably still months away. ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
Chromius Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Win 7 64 bit here also. I tried Win 8.1 but did not like it, ran it on my laptop too but swapped that back to Win 7 64 also. (Had free copy from school account) I will try Win10 for the supposed graphics boost when the time comes better not be a scam like Win Vista and directx 11, lol. Best bet for future may be Win7 64 and Win10 dual boot. edit: ha answered as this was at top again, but it appears a new poll is needed to see how many went to 8.1
