Aginor Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) For example if you accidentally deleted something and want it back. Ctrl+Z would be awesome. EDIT: And didn't they say at one point that they want to have some in-engine stuff in the editor? Like in the old IL-2 or something. Or was that just a beautiful dream I had, like the other one in which my cat learns to talk? Edited November 11, 2014 by Aginor DCSW weapons cheat sheet speed cheat sheet
Phantom_Mark Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Another +1 for the Undo :) The placement of objects in Bohemia and IL2 is far far superior, would really love that ability in ED.
kontiuka Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 For example if you accidentally deleted something and want it back. Ctrl+Z would be awesome.I've deleted groups many times thinking I was just deleting a waypoint. My stupidity but it would be nice to undo, yes.
SkateZilla Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It was also stated that you will be able to interact with the game world from within the editor . Likely not right away, but in the future. Later, this will also allow us to integrate simulation elements into the Encyclopaedia and Mission Editor Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
mjmorrow Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) I can't wait for Nevada. I am getting so excited! I wish I knew what the specs are going to be for EDGE, though. I need to know the specs so i can plan to ge tthe cheapest computer that will meet my needs, for the years to come. I can't wait to joyride with my shiny F-86F over a breathtaking simulation of the very beautiful State of Nevada. With all the lovely sunsets, the fluffy clouds, the car traffic at night, the lights of Vegas, and so many, many, many, lovely details, the map will be so pretty. Edited November 12, 2014 by mjmorrow [sIGPIC]http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv250/mjmorrow76/SPAD%20of%20a%20new%20generation_zpshcbftpce.png[/sIGPIC]
ED Team NineLine Posted November 12, 2014 ED Team Posted November 12, 2014 Update: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133790 Dear all, We understand that many of you are anxious about the new NTTR map (and other future maps), so I wanted to give you a little update. As mentioned in a previous newsletter, we have imported the NTTR map into DCS World 2 and have begun addressing several blocking items. One of the biggest is getting the colors and shadows correct. Although the colors and shadows may have looked good in the terrainviewer tool, the way light and shadows are done in DCS World 2 is quite different. As such, we've been having to do a lot of work to get these to look right. Once this effort is done, I hope to release some new images or videos. Other issues we are working on for the map include: - Mission Editor presentation and overlays - Water rendering - Airbase lights - Building shadows - Object LODs These adjustments are needed now that the map is in DCS. ED Team NineLine Posted November 12, 2014 ED Team Posted November 12, 2014 this game needs a better frame rate You are correct, my 60-100 fps is not nearly enough... I am hoping for 1 million frames per second.... Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

badaboom Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 How about a "Beta" NTTR Release? If I remember correctly The Original Nevada Map released with The A-10C was less than perfect also yet The Community accepted it as a WIP. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

If I remember correctly The Original Nevada Map released with The A-10C was less than perfect also yet The Community accepted it as a WIP. That would mean DCS: World 2 / EDGE released to the Vulchers*.... *That's us BTW... The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. outlawal2 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Is your fps stable ? I think not. Of course it isn't... What you do within the simulation is not constant so your frame rate will go up and down based on the load... And that load is constantly changing.. Once again folks... This is a flight simulation and it will tax your machine HARD... Don't expect Herculean framerates.. That is not reasonable.. "Pride is a poor substitute for intelligence." RAMBO
tarracta Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I bet my monthly salary that we won't see EDGE and NTTR in this year... reading the news posts done a year ago made us believe getting a christmas gift, and this year the readings are even less promising..

ED Team NineLine Posted November 12, 2014 ED Team Posted November 12, 2014 OK guys, lets get back on topic with EDGE and New Maps, current performance is not really what the topic is about, and EDGE/2.0 performance isnt known right now. NRG-Vampire Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 These adjustments are needed now that the map is in DCS ^ so, does this news mean a delay in both edge and nttr map ? :dunno:
