Yeah no Aim9 on there at all from zoomed in.

But it is a stunning photo. There is often a lot of demands and critics around but the fact is ED are doing a good job of not rushing this and I feel 2014 is a good year for DCS Modules and updates.

...but that would be amazing for the future F/A-18C. Imagine landing PFM Su-33 and the hornets on carriers during rough weather.

Or an F-14 Tomcat! Anytime Baby!

Since we are on topic of effects...

The raindrop effect and splash on ground

The accumulation snow and any ground vehicle / tires of aircraft kicking up water / snow/ sleet

The spark effect seen in the rRG kick starter aFm video when the plane scrapes its wing tips or underbody on the runway.

Hmm, for vehicles this is already there (mud/sleet), at least in CA! Watch in front of your Tank when speeding up on terrain...

Isn't it amazing how far this genre has come that we are now asking for rain / snow effects, bird splats etc? I am a dinosaur, there is no doubt, but I remember Microsoft Flight Simulator and a green line for the horizon and how awesome THAT was in all of it's monochrome glory...

Now today we have DCS and the realism is AMAZING.. (And EDGE looks to bump the bar considerably further than what we have.)

Yeah, sometimes you have to sit back and remember 20+ years ago, or even ten years ago, then you feel better. I do that regularly. :D

The least we can do is ask. Its up to ED to decide whether it's worth doing and adding. ;)

Indeed it is. Even joysticks and sound...From Choplifter, to F15 Strike Eagle (wireframe only), Knights of the Sky, F19 Stealth Fighter, FOTD, Jane(s), Gunship, Facon, EECH, and now DCS in all its glory. Simply amazing how far we've come.

My first flight sim was Jane's IAF. Damn...i used to think that looked state of the art. My comparison was the only other game I played at that time,...Simcopter. ;)

DID's EF 2000 had the first "clickable" 3D cockpit! That was stunning in 1995 !!! Compared to Jet 2.0 slideshow it was worlds apart!
