They were reassuring people several times on facebook that 2.0 is indeed coming this year, so I would say they're still on track ;)

This is what I am thinking, that along with these two planes, we will get 2.0 as well. As long as it all goes well and nothing major pops up. But I am thinking 2.0 will be in November. Will be good times.

I just thought I'd bring to everyone's attention that today's EDGE screenshots revealed that particle shadowing will be supported. Note the shadow from the wing on the tire smoke:

This alone will make particle effects look slightly better, but I think it reveals an interest in rejuvenating the particle effects in general, possibly the weakest area of the current graphics engine.

I would like to make a question to the devs about the new image generator.

If I do a ramp start on A-10C from Batumi airbase and head south east toward Strait of Hormuz. Supposed I have lots of fuel and patience. Will I meet the new map?

What I mean is will we have the globe to fly or just small independent maps!

EDGE allows projecting maps onto a globe. Nothing has been said about using this feature so far though.

At the moment everything points to us having separate maps, however in the future that might change. Also know that ED have said they've considered adding to maps after release.

Awaiting: DCS F-15C

You need to fly over the Bermuda Triangle map first, obviously.
