To paint and trace by hand in Photoshop is the only way? A lot of trial and error then. Thanks for the quick answers.

Yep that's the only way and it can be frustrating which is why most of the aircraft have good templates. I think you can mount liveries through the modelviewer which is quicker than loading them into the game. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Director | Team Coordinator ME-163B Project The DCS Modding Hub Discord PC Specs: Intel I7 8700k 4.7Ghz Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming Z370 Motherboard 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz Ram 500GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD

Can anybody help me? :) DCS Wishlist: DCS: A-10C 2: new suite, flight and system improvements. fix no real things. To include new features. Some real love.
Blaze Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 1. Don't expect 2018 support anytime soon. We just got 2016 support several months ago. 2. Just use the Modelviewer that's bundled in DCS. Go to your DCS install folder, bin, and run Modelviewer.exe. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. Wyatt109 Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 EDM plugin not detected by 3DS Max 2016 Greetings, I seem to be having difficulty getting the EDM plugin fully installed. I downloaded the latest version and ran the installer, but upon launching 3DS Max, I'm faced with a "failed to initialize" error. I went to the install location and sure enough, the files are indeed there. After some Googling, I also made sure that I had Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4. (recommended in this thread) Here's the error I'm getting, despite the files being present. Anyone know a fix? Thanks!

shadow750 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 DCS Model Viewer problems I am having a problem viewing liveries in Model Viewer. I am using DCS World 2.5 stable and I have tried model viewer with the same result just clicking the exe. file, running a batch file etc. The program loads the user interface but the problem is that I have no idea what to load. There are no LOD or EDM files, all I have are the DDS textures and it would be nice to look at my creation without having to load the game and a mission to do it. If somebody can help me with this I would really appreciate it. I am not a programmer, I know how to manipulate the description.lua files but that is about it. Thank you
joey45 Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) For the stand alone version put the .edm files in the shapes folder and the textures in the temp textures folder. Built in MV IF it's liveries then add the liveries to the airframe liveries folder then when you boot up the MV navigate the where the .edm file is. on ma mobile Edited April 12, 2018 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
