joey45 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I can't do the su-25t as I use GIMP and GIMP can't open the templates. 1 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. PE_Tigar Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Love the Toad! It's less sophisticated than the C Hog, but oh so much fun! I'm thoroughly enjoying the campaign that came with DCS: World at the moment...
Togg Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Is it possible to play with russian voices with english subtitles like BS2 ( it is possible with BS2 by adding the russian voice pack ) ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] https://github.com/Togg-streamdeck/dcs
KosPilot Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 I need the Toad, plain and simple. ED, please do a 3D clickable cockpit DCS extreme workover style for the Toad. 1

Whisky One Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I tried DCS:World yesterday with the free SU25T because I'm not in my own house these two weeks. I see lots of improvements! Nice explosions and the SU25 is fun to fly so thanks ED. Can't wait to be home and install the A-10c for DCS World :)

I'm thoroughly enjoying the campaign that came with DCS: World at the moment... Ya know that brings up the question, why? Did they replace the Toad? Did it fall out of favor? Why hasn't it been updated along the lines of the hawg? The toad will keep me all dcsed me until the next modern developments; I'm grateful to the devs for this Although I appreciate your choice, I have to say the mustang is an unbelievable piece of simming software and even if it was placed in the battlefield of 2200 it would still be an amazing vehicle to fly. Flying is exactly what you get to do with it, you feel completely connected. (Not trying to convince you, just trump the idea that it's "too out of place in the DCS world to enjoy flying".) :joystick: I do appreciate your love of the Toad however ;)...she's my one FC true love. :matrix:

BRooDJeRo Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) I havent been able to play alot. Ive revamped all the key default layouts to custom key layouts to free up commonly used keys in combo with a 3-bank joystick layout. This system needs a clickable cockpit unfortunately as some shortcuts simply dont exist anymore. The Toad hasnt anything clickable. I could memorise and create a sticklayout too, however that going back to 2D and feels like a step back in evolution. So i most likely wait untill it will be clickable. If not, then i most likely wont fly it anytime soon. Is there a systemsmanual somewhere btw? Do i need to learn 'stick 'n' stone' russian for it? Giving something away for free is always good to keep a community happy. Props on that and thank u very much. However more people come to the conclusion that they need to save their money to be able to better handle recessions. They spend their money more wisely. Something good, fully working and free might pursue those people to bring their money to your products in slightly more difficult times. Im not attacking DCS in any way, but some development is, without being somebodys fault, somewhat behind scedual. Something free is often a good glue to buy more time so people will stick around. When looking at the number of multiplayer servers available currently you get a good view on how many time people invest in DCS. I know, DCS is working on it. Thus far DCS has managed to make me wait for their upgrades instead of the 'kapitalism' premium upgrade that comes with Battlefield 3 or the everlasting resturning pay-subscription of World of Tanks and Eve Online for instance. Griffin Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 How much was that Mastiff? I'm so interested in some more rare models and can't find on diecast.
71st_Mastiff Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 well according to Kyle Williams who does Models for a living, states this is a very fine exceptional kit he was impressed. Zakatak Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) I haven't played flight sims in forever, but now that I have a new PC (my first build ever!), I figured I would fly the Toad a bit before jumping back in the A-10C. But I'm having so much fun with it! Does anybody know how to fire off multiple Vikhrs? I've tried switching the salvo modes and ripple quantities, rapidly pressing and holding the fire button, but nothing seems to work. After I launch a Vikhr, it seems I cannot fire another one after until my next pass, unless I turn off and on the Laser Ranger each time. Also, the R-60/73 don't seem to hold a lock even when my enemy is at full throttle, without jammers, and not popping flares. Sup with that? Edited June 24, 2012 by Zakatak
159th_Viper Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Switch the salvo mode to fire two Vikhrs per launch - you will see two blocks surrounding the weapons stations icons in the HUD which confirms that both are selected. Possible to have two launches per pass under normal circumstances unless you override LA. I'll have a look at AA missiles later but do not recall any issues there. HiJack Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 You also need to hold the launch button pressed until both vikhrs is luanced. I have not tried the AA missiles ;)
