Why would there be a problem putting the AH-64D with a longbow radar into the game?

 

Some of the performance is known. It`s been modeled in Jane`s longbow series, EECH/EEAH, and it`s being worked on in the Combat Helo project (hopefully it pulls through and comes out).

 

I bet there are enough info out there to make it an enjoyable experience. Sure there are info and performance stats that never will be known. But since 99% of the general population out there don't even know it`s non secret stuff I don`t think it will be a deal breaker.

 

He's right, if Janes and EECH/EEAH already did it, then why ED can't?

Because ED is mindful of things that can hurt its future business, which means they must respect classification of materials and get permission to use them.

 

Further, there is a particular standard attached to DCS titles which is not achievable without such information.

I would be plenty fine with the AH-64A model if the longbow radar can't be done due to classified material. It seems possible, can't be too classified at this point. After flying the Ka-50 for so long, the A model will seem like a huge upgrade.

I know I've posted in this thread before but bugger it...here's my wishlist again for what its worth:

 

1. AH64 Apache (would love the Longbow but for all the reasons stated above, I'd 'settle' for the A model)

AH-64D Longbow, Love hiding behind tree's while scanning the area with you're pod on top of the rotors then program the targeting system and we pop up take out the targets and away! :pilotfly:

OH-58D

 

It would be great to see a scout helicopter like the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, there is already a full attack helo the Ka-50 Black Shark.

AFAIK OH-58 is already announced, but the version is not specified.

 

Anyways, Kiowa Warrior and BS have incopatible systems (laser, datalink) :(

 

...but coop with Hog should be awesome!

with these sort of polls its always best to make pollers choose one, not many. That way, you weigh up all the pros/cons of each heli (that you know ofcourse) and make you choose one.

 

Either way, the Longbow wins by a mile.

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place,please move it if it is. :music_whistling:

 

Now that the awesome looking Huey release is imminent, I was wondering how hard it would be,

I mean we have the Black Shark, soon to be Huey, great wonder digital stuff in the A-10-C and an awesome looking model of the Apache in DCS World.

 

How much work do you suppose it would take for them to combine all of these with,I assume data and AFM they may already have to make a great package in the AH-64?

 

I know they plan the Cobra, but hey C/Mon an APACHE?

 

I am looking forward to the Huey release and still kicking myself on missing the sale for the Black Shark,

 

I for one would die a happy man if they announced they were looking at a future module of the Apache, how say you? :thumbup:

When online-multicrew will work for Huey, I guess everything is possible.

But I think before the Ah-64D we will see AH-64A first.

 

Or maybe we will see a mordernized version of the cobra after the "nam-version"is finished.

Apache would have been awesome! But so far no one has given as much as a hint of doing it.

 

My guess is that the Apache is one of the things that ED will do themselves or they have already done a military one and they are not allowed to make a civilian simulation of it.

 

 

Should not be any lack of info out there.

Apache would be great, I would really want it to come from ED tho, reason behind the Apache is because I grew up playing old Apache sim's, Longbow and others.

 

Really liked the KA-50 and think it's a great starter helicopter, It has some good Tech but nothing that might throw you like newer aircraft so it's great to just learn how to fly then later on you can start learning the systems which are pretty basic but then come with there own charm so that keeps the curve low when you're taking so much effort just to fly it when learning. :book:

 

So the Apache once you had master the KA-50 would just be the next logical step for me loving the UH-1H Huey coming as this fit's into the learning how to fly all the basics of flight and a'little more before jumping into something like an Apache.

hell yeaaaaaa. battlefield 2 has enriched my love for the tandem seat helicopter... i would like to experience tandem seat DCS style..
