All you can expect is a better FC3 coming later than now  cheers If "better" would include new russian Su 27/30/33 and Mig 29 3D models, then I'd cool down, but that wont be the case , so I will stay pissed till its out :furious: Intel I7 - 10700 K @ 3,80GHz / 64 GB DDR3 / RTX 3090 / Win 10 Home 64 bit / Logitech X56 HOTAS / HP Reverb G2 Running DCS on latest OB version
Ryback Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Release dates "announced" like this are quite common with magazines. I have a few old copies of PCGamer stating Duke Nukem Forever was coming out in Fall of 1999... Furthermore pushing release dates back is quite common place with game development. There are countless examples of it between small and large game developers and franchises. How accurate the PCPilot release date is, I don't know. I'm just saying its probably more of an editorial decision to say FC3 is coming out in December than it is insider information. I agree..I'm aware of speculations that can be made. But at the same time thinking why they can speculate:Because there is no release date given.Mag writers use this gap to speculate. From my point of view as software developers if they have a deadline - i guess they have- they should share with us.A software product can never be complete. There are always something to update like bugs, features. But if they say this is our release point and we reach it XX-XX date that will be small relief even if its 2013. Nobody will burn tyres , destroy shop and cars in the streets even they are not happy with release dates. So sharing will be respectful behavior...
Dr_Arrow Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Please release it as a public beta at least - add features later through auto update.

In the past, thing's on this forum happened coming pretty close to the events you mentioned for ED not making a release date or not including features they never promised to include. Hence ED's very understandable decision to be very weary when it comes to things like publishing release dates and announcing new features. S-GERAT Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I have a little big question about FC3.. In the FC3 announcement wags write : - Improved takeoff and landing flight dynamics. It's true the most noticeable difference between the flight model of the SU-25 T on DCS world and the one from FC2 is the feeling during take off and landing ( After playing DCS world the landings on FC2 have become very boring ) but I'm a bit worried about the lack of info about this topic, expecting only a small improvement on the flight model of the FC3 aircraft. Resuming : Somebody know if the FC3 aircraft have an advanced flight model like the SU-25 T in DCS world ? Thanks in advance ( and sorry for my bad English )

S-GERAT Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Bad news.. I was anxiously expecting the release of FC3, but after this I lost a lot of interest on it. I was expecting the FC3 planes with an advanced flight model like the SU 25T of DCS world. Hope the release of the beczl Mig don't late too much time.. Thanks for your reply
G-Lock91 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Just because something takes longer to make doesn't necessarily mean it will be better. What I don't understand is with the new auto update feature, the sim can't/ won't be released as is. Raven68 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 The last update we had was Sept. 26th to announce the delay. I don't expect ED to live on these boards, but at this point a brief status would be nice. It's like we are in this holding pattern waiting for a clearance to land, but some of us are running low on fuel and may crash before the tower calls us in. My weak attempt at an analogy. manfrez01 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It may be to our regret that history repeats itself and the echos are obvious with this delay unannounced. I hope I'm wrong [sIGPIC]http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7877/72368977.jpg[/sIGPIC]
JABO2009 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 whatever history has shown, PC magazines estimate or some forum members may try to explain: ED's quietness on the overlong FC3 delay ain't acceptable. at least they should release a public beta and say ok; there r some things missing but this will be figured out via auto update. but doing the last delay announcement on 26th Sept and then Nothing for nearly another Month (!) is not really what I'd call a clever customer treatment.. ferriwheel Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Did ED identify some serious bugs with FC3 or was the Sep. annoucement a commerical tactic? It's almost the end of Oct. Things change. All ED had to do was not announce anything at all, then announce the release the same day it was ready to release. This is exactly why ED do not want to announce anything, and just push out the release when it is ready, because people start complaining that something is not released. In the end, they will release it when it is ready. What do you want, for them to release something that is not ready? I understand Beta releases, but really, the idea is to release something that is ready to go normally. Why do you think that there is current silence about an estimated release? Because, if any estimate is given, and it does not happen, bang, complaints galore on the forum :) I bet we will not hear anything again about FC3 until the day it is released. Keep in mind, this not Electronic Arts with shareholders demanding a release date so revenue can be generated to satisfy stock holders. Then, if a date is looking like to slip, you throw cash at the problem. This is a small company trying to make money and doing something they love.
