And people said that Beech wasn't going to do a preview.. HAH!

Aside from some cockpit pics, which we have already seen, and a description of a mission, what about FC3 did you learn?

That fc3 is in a beta stage, meaning it may be close to release :).

Wags already posted that FC3 will be released in September so not really hard to guess it may be close to release :music_whistling:

cichlidfan has a point, asside from new F-15C cockpit there is no mention of how systems are changed which is way more important because if it's same or similar to FC2 sadly FC3 is not much of improvement.

No longer active in DCS...

That FC3 has a campaign with actually well thought out missions. I mean, they seriously look good if all of them are going to be like the one in AV8R's AAR.

I can accept your optimism but statistically speaking, there is not enough evidence to support that either.

Beach is operating under an NDA so there really was very little of substance that he would have been allowed to mention.

Excellent preview. Very cool that individual engines can be blown off

"The art of simulation design is about understanding limited fidelity...

...compromises must be made. Designers have to consider cost vs. fidelity and processor time vs. fidelity. Additional trade-offs must be made between graphics, AI, flight models, number of units and more...

...never ask the pilot what he wants to learn because he too will end up building an airplane. Instead, ask the pilot what he needs to learn."

Screens looked pretty nice to me. Beach did mention that the feel of landings and takeoffs was improved. Though that may be somewhat subjective. Personally, Im REALLY looking forward to FC3. I just reinstalled lockon after a 6 year hiatus and have DCS world going. Been learning the SU-25T and really enjoying everything I see. To compare DCS world and the SU-25T to lockon after all these years...well, there isnt any comparison. Well done ED!

All of the aircraft are going to have redone 3D cockpits right? seems like a stupid question but the lack seeing any SU-33 cockpits is doing my head in. I just want to see inside a russian jet! >_<

No.

Only the Budgie. That of course does not preclude 3rd party developers from developing new pits for monetary gain - we'll have to hope and see :D
