derelor Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 You do not have access to the handbooks from the real UH-1 operators(mentioned in the announcement)? I will not discuss what documents we testers have (or have not) access to. Just be aware of the OCR issue when you read/print the different variants of the manual available on the internet. BTW: nice huey picture in your sig. 1338 - beyond leet ED Forum rules EN|DE|RU

BTW: nice huey picture in your sig. I just wondered about why you are looking for handbooks on the net, when you should have first hand access.;) I see you`ve changed youre avatar pic recently to the Huey. element1108 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I would kill to see a startup video of this bird...
swe_badger Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Looks like we'll be getting the Huey in the 1.2.4 update then considering it's in the "main focus" list. That's great news and almost soften the blow for those waiting for the MiG-21bis. AMD FX-6300 8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE LP DDR3 RAM SAPPHIRE HD 7790 DUAL-X O/C 1GB DDR5 2TB SEAGATE HDD WIN7 ULTIMATE X64
Valinor Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Which means that now the question changes from "When we will see the Huey" to "when we will see 1.2.4?" :( How much time usually pass between versions? Just to have a general idea..

schkorpio Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 hmmm i wonder if that depth blur is photoshopped or will we get some fancy graphical effects in DCS 1.2.4? Sponsored by: http://www.ozpc.com.au
Ells228 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 hmmm i wonder if that depth blur is photoshopped or will we get some fancy graphical effects in DCS 1.2.4? Yeah sorry, my camera took a bump when we took off ;) You should have seen the other one, I had my finger partially over the lens...tsk
joey45 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Heheheheh.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. schkorpio Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Yeah sorry, my camera took a bump when we took off ;) You should have seen the other one, I had my finger partially over the lens...tsk :megalol: lol Oh i keep forgetting to ask everytime I visit this thread I get distracted: Is the UH-1H chopper going to be easier to fly than the Ka-50? I just can't fly that thing for more than 2 minutes without killing myself. Especially if I'm doing anything other than flying fowards lol. Sponsored by: http://www.ozpc.com.au
Weta43 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Is the UH-1H chopper going to be easier to fly than the Ka-50? The Ka-50 is a very easy helicopter to fly... Cheers.
Pizzicato Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 The Ka-50 is a very easy helicopter to fly... SchniX Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 The Ka-50 is a very easy helicopter to fly... If you want to simulate a regular helicopter with the KA-50, just disable the PITCH HOLD, BANK HOLD, and HDG HOLD autopilot channels.
SNAFU Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I think flying a chopper with a tail rotor is a totally new experience, if you are only used to coaxial rotors.. I am looking forward for this! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite
ec-swr Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 If you want to simulate a regular helicopter with the KA-50, just disable the PITCH HOLD, BANK HOLD, and HDG HOLD autopilot channels. this is how I always landed [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC].youtube
Cowboy10uk Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I just can't fly that thing for more than 2 minutes without killing myself. Especially if I'm doing anything other than flying fowards lol. Sorry, but isn't this how its meant to be flown, or have I been doing it wrong all these years. ;) Cowboy10uk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Fighter pilots make movies, Attack pilots make history, Helicopter pilots make heros. :pilotfly: Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans And a bloody awful Pilot
Valinor Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I am really ignorant on the subject, so i'll ask, will the Huey have a sort of trim like the ka-50 have? Or it won't have one?
Weta43 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 If you want to simulate a regular helicopter that is comparatively easy to fly with the KA-50, just disable the PITCH HOLD, BANK HOLD, and HDG HOLD autopilot channels. Fixed that for you. Cheers.
