He'll get his 9 films..

This will probably be a pretty good merg.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

NOOOOO, i love star wars, hence my recently changed avatar to sport some SW love lol.

But i'm excited for more movies, but not a big fan that it's Disney, b/c unless they're going to release PG-13/R rated movies, they're not going to be as entertaining as if they were in my opinion.

To each their own. I saw the first one when it came out in theatres and it did nothing for me then and nothing has changed. However, I have noticed that a few people do seem to like the films. :P

As long as you have noticed that a few people enjoy that film then we can agree to disagree :smilewink:

There are plenty of books about after Star Wars which are really good, IMO its not until the Vong invasion and Chewie gets killed with a moon squashing him does it get good.

See, now there is an example. The first time I saw the Wookie all I could think of was that Cousin It and Lurch had somehow reproduced. It was all downhill from there.;)

No offense to SW fans, really. :)

Episode 4? You mean "let me take a pulp fantasy story, hide it behind spaceships and bad writing, and then everyone will think it's the awesomest sci-fi ever"?

Well, mission accomplished, but it's still crap. :P

Can't wait to see Darth in a Disney's romcom.

Empire Strikes Back was fiercely awesome and I bet Lucas didn't write that one.

There's already discussion about who should direct the next one.

I'd love to see J.J. Abrams write and direct Starwars. Or Tim Burton...where Jack Sparrow heads off to space. :D

Who already butchered Star Trek? No thanks.

My vote goes to Joss Whedon.

But that will probably never happen.

Really? I'd never, ever liked Star Trek until I saw the one he directed. His TV series Fringe was pretty darn good, too.

And I was kidding about Tim Burton. I do like his films, though.
